6 beers and KFC? you're a bigger idiot than i thought
You plant the back foot and pivot on the ball of your foot. The rotation and torque then goes up to your hips and then to your shoulders as your right arm extends straight forward. I told him to work on that.
Still don't know what I'm talking about?
If I'm boxing someone and they keep circling to their left as they punch, I then know that as long as I can keep them moving to their right they won't punch. I can catch on to their rhythm.

How do you throw a left hook?
Ideally when you first start boxing, you are taught to make a right angle with your arm as you pivot on your left foot and the torque and rotation again goes up your body.
You are an idiot. We are offering constructive criticism to this kid to help him advance his skill. You are patting his back and rubbing his balls trying to make him think he has nothing wrong with his game. There is always room for improvement.
i just think that you and a few other members are new to the sport who post with quotes from books,i am old school i tell it like it is and that is why through my dedication to this site and with my very knowlegable boxing expertise i am well respected on boxing scene,

You should do your research before making assumptions. That's what makes you look like an idiot. We all offer bits of advice to help him excel in the sport and you tell him that everything is perfectly fine. That doesn't help. He wants constructive criticism. Not yes men.
And no I am not new to boxing. I grew up watching boxing with my grandfather who was a big Joe Louis fan. I learned from my grandfather who used to box in the army and actually started training in a real gym when I was 17. Undefeated in exhibition matches at multiple gyms. My trainer was a former Jr Middleweight title contender who fought Lupe Aquino for the title in the 80's. I also teach boxing at a gym out here in my area which hosts the golden gloves. My uncle is a trainer at the famous Kings Gym in Oakland. So no I am not new to boxing. It's in my family and in my blood.
do you all think I have the potential to become a journeyman pro boxer? you know the type of fighter who has about as many losses as wins... aiming to become a world champ or anything like that is a bit unrealistic lol, but I would defenitley try to become a journeyman, is that realistic you think?
I think having an attitude like that is just setting yourself up for failure.
Don't set yourself goals based on how many titles you would like to win or what you would like your record to look like. Just make it your goal to be the best you can be. Everyone is different, just try to get the most out of your own body.
Make that your goal and you just might surprise yourself by how much you can actually achieve.

There is always room for improvement and since you look to be pretty young, you have a lot of time to work on your game. I think right now it'd be hard for us to say if you could make it because all we've seen is shadowboxing. There were good points to your video but also parts that needed work.
My suggestion would be to continue training at the gym with a specific coach that can help you work on becoming an improved boxer. At the same time, go to school and get your degree (not sure how old you are). If this is a dream that you have, then go for it. But at the same time be realistic with yourself and you'll always have your degree to fall back on.
Another thing is that people don't realize that the fight business is all about marketability. If you can study business and marketing, it will give you a good idea of how to make yourself stand out so that you get the best opportunities in boxing. Marketing Marketing Marketing! Learn it and let it be your best friend....along with good footwork and a nice jab.
Anything is possible. It's up to you to put yourself in the position to where it's within reach. Life is what YOU make it.
