How is a proper straight right thrown?
You plant the back foot and pivot on the ball of your foot. The rotation and torque then goes up to your hips and then to your shoulders as your right arm extends straight forward. I told him to work on that.
Still don't know what I'm talking about?
If I'm boxing someone and they keep circling to their left as they punch, I then know that as long as I can keep them moving to their right they won't punch. I can catch on to their rhythm.
Still don't know what I'm talking about?
How do you throw a left hook?
Ideally when you first start boxing, you are taught to make a right angle with your arm as you pivot on your left foot and the torque and rotation again goes up your body.
You are an idiot. We are offering constructive criticism to this kid to help him advance his skill. You are patting his back and rubbing his balls trying to make him think he has nothing wrong with his game. There is always room for improvement.

Wow you need to read. I told him what he did wrong and how to do it properly.

1- your wrists look like theyre going to break. I have never seen anyone who has their wrists bent like that.
2 - Are you throwing your hooks to hit with the elbow? Extend your arm out a little with your hooks.
3 - When you throw your straight, your right foot should pivot on the ball. You are stepping. Do not do that. You lose power. The power from the straight right comes from planting that foot and pivoting it.
4 - Learn how to punch moving to your right. All of your combos leave you going left every single time. It's predicatable. If I were boxing you, I'd bank on you running into my right.
2. so he throws tight hooks? their qicker and they dont telegraph as much besides when you put an extra 12 or 16 oz at the end they open up alittle.
3. hes very clearly kicking his heel out and rotating off the ball of his foot. he might have stepped a few times while throwing a right and thats more then likely due to space limitations and having to reorient your self so you dont punch the wall but im sure he gets the concept.
4. he does move to the right though not much not to the right while punching. I agree here but the space is limited so their could be a reason for not moving to the right much but actually moving to the right while punching would be good to work on.
the only other thing i would say is work on keeping the left high, brining it back to your face not only is it good for blocking but you involuntarily keep your shoulder higher which is also good for blocking. not that your chins not already well tucked.
