This is a small thing but its pretty cool, at the gym i used to go to the owner would buy all the big ppv fights and show them at the gym and he would charge a couple of dollars for people to watch it there. Not sure if it was legal but it was nice watching the fights around other people that know boxing.Comment

I think in terms of equipment people have made great recommendations, I'd just like to add rope ladders for footwork drills/agility. I know soccer and rugby players use them a lot, and I think I recall Pacman using them with Alex Ariza in one of the 24/7s. They are really good for working both skill and cardio fitness if you keep the drills pumping fast. Try to get two down on the floor so you can get a bunch of people running a circuit at the same time.
Another piece of very simple equipment I would recommend is just a whole bunch of strong wooden boxes of different sizes (pretty standard in most gyms maybe I'm not exactly sure). In my gym we use these in conjunction with the rope ladders, setting them up making stairs to run/jump off or jump over. Once again this is really good exercise, If you run the ladder quickly and then set up 5 or so box jump straight afterwards in a circuit.
Once more I think the tyre is a piece of equipment overlooked in a lot of gyms. Getting a big tractor tyre and laying it on the floor, jumping on it while in stance really starts to burn the legs after a while. While you're jumping you can shadowbox with a pair of 2kg-3kg dumbells or something. Also smacking the tyre with a sledgehammer (although this could be dangerous in a gym) or flipping the same tyre end over end from one side of the room to another is a good drill.
I think some of the best gyms are ones with basic equipment, sometimes even household items, implemented for a variety of techniques. This might seem oldschool and outdated but I think when coupled with new equipment of the modern age they can work together to produce results. I guess what I'm saying is one of the most important things in running a gym/owning a gym/ coaching fighters is to be resourceful. I know my trainer is, and as a fighter it's just one more reason why I trust him, which is imperative in the fight game.
Hope that helps,
