wont open until late '10 early '11. It will only have around 2000 sqft, but i hope to squeeze everything in. I want it as big as possible but i cant afford what i want so will have to make do. I hate small/overcrowded gyms. Problem is the better the location the smaller the places are & the higher the price is. Remember this is London not America, there's no way of finding a big cheap place without moving into the outskirts and i wanna stay in the city and from what research iv done everybody says the key to gym success is location, location, location!

Yeah i got everything worked out. The price options are really good/great value, i just have to find the right place. Because the only way i can charge low prices is if there is a sufficient customer base in the area. Hence why im having weights/cardio areas so the gym appeals to everyone.

Make sure you have a couple of those Hand-Wrap Rollers posted around the gym, it makes it so much faster to roll up the wraps after practice. Atleast 3 speed bags, Atleast 4 punching bags, Atleast 2 power-towers, and definitely some treadmills. Also keep some extra 14 & 16oz gloves, headgear, groin protectors, and a big bag of ready to use mouthpieces just in case people forget for when they are sparring or just need to use some gloves.

I tell you it's a tough business to go into, especially if you want to make it just a boxing gym.

These days there are so many boxing/mma/weightlifting gyms, especially here in America. They do this because they need income from all types of people.

The only way you make good money in a traditional boxing gym is if you have pro fighters bringing in income and that's a tough business to get into.

My dream is to have my own gym.

Is it going to have showers? How about some towels just in case someone forgets thiers and needs to borrow one.

APART FROM THE OBVIOUS PLEASE. is there any specific equipment/things you would really like in your boxing gym. Im looking for things say other gyms lack, things there arent enough of, equipment there is not enough variety of, classes, events, hygiene, space restrictions etc.. absolutely anything that pleases/annoys you about any boxing gym. Plus what little things make/would make your gym experience better.

Please note: this will be a boxing gym, however it will also have a free weights/machine and cardio areas for the 'regular' gym user.

                Many thanks in advance guys!

I Appreciate All Your Feedback Cheers!

imo have an open gym time. don't make it all classes.

This may not sound important but a steam room would be ideal.

Yeah i know it's tough! but nothings easy out here! It's not my main business so im not going to over-rely on it although it is my passion thats why im doing it. The gym will be a fighters gym with a weights and cardio area/s so i hope to appeal to everyone.
