Without good trainers you got nothing.

Kettle Bells are becoming one of the most used strength training tools in boxing gyms in NYC. That and the cord machine with the weights on it. For fighting these items are pretty sweet.

I've also always liked gyms with motivational quotes posted all over the place and fight posters too.

The emphasis i want to create is that the gym is open to everybody, anytime. I would like to get 'casuals' into boxing too. They pay the bills at the end of the day.
NO, they wouldn't. I do the casual thingie, as well as most people in my gym.
In fact, there are a LOT more "casual boxers" than "hardcore boxers" there. Except for a girl who's training for the olympics, we're all casual.

A separate area for the standard gym would sure be nice since that way you could be selling 3 sorts of services. You could have people paying to use the regular gym for bodybuilding or just staying in shape, others to use the boxing gym to train (hitting the bags and so on) and others to buy your full package and have access to both if they so please. It all boils down to how much space you got frankly and ofcourse to have the right people working for you especially for the boxing part.

Yea exactly thats kind of the idea. But to be honest im not going to have the biggest place so although i plan to have 3 'sections' they will all be in one big room. Do u think this will potentially put people off? Do u think 'casuals' would mind weight lifting/cardio training with people boxing at the other end of the hall? Ideally the different sections would have their own room/platform but due to costs this isnt feasible yet i need to appeal to everyone!

I dont think people would mind, I know I wouldnt... I lift and box, and Ive been to gyms like the one youre going to set up, and the atmosphere is good, no beefs at all and everyone manages to do their **** and just comply with each other.. If someones lifting weights and they cant handle people hitting bags and sparring, ect. Then that's there problem, they should be more worried about the weight they are trying to lift so that they dont have any lifting accidents... But to answer that question, I think that it should be fine, and if you really want to, you could hang curtains from the ceiling to separate the boxing/weightlifing and cardio areas... Simple but pocket friendly, and that would solve the problem.
