When I was hanging out with him at the end of the this biker bar in around 2003 I got a sense I was his bodyguard…so much the owner went to tell me to get away from him and Chuck said no he’s with us he was informed who my family was before that so do the math…..I was a pretty good asset if anyone was threatening towards them etc etc …and there wasn’t a single problem that was a,ways guaranteed if I’m around there’s certain ways of doing something without doing anything….lol
Van Damn did have some experience in the ring... That counts a lot, it is a different orientation. I agree with you about a contest... I actually saw a vid of Chuck horsing around and he did something which I recognize as the type of reflex action someone does along bouncing/body guarding lines: He went in with a circular Kempo chop chain. he did not do it aggressively lol, but this happens to be a way of getting to someone fast, right up there with grabbing with the front arm to do a reverse punch... Of course neither of these things are good to do in the ring with gloves. The thing that always got me DQ'ed lol. But if I am going in, I want tactile along with visual and auditory.
