howd you know i got a fight coming up...?
you just need to be a bit more realistic you shouldnt even be thinking about turning pro without any experience and in all fairness you dont look like youve got a lot of flare for boxing witch you would want as soon as you put some gloves on if you were thinking of turning pro without any amateur fights.............. that doesnt mean you couldnt be a boxer though your best bet is to aim to get a decent number of amateur bouts trust me that aint an easy thing besides you dont even know if youll like it yet.......... oh yeah and although the running is good and necessary for any fighter boxing is a totally different exercise to running you need to be conditioned for short explosive work with a quick recovery rate your best bet is to go to a club as soon as possible and see if you enjoy it

flare? like charisma? like that thing where you walk in front of group of people and they are just compelled to be quite and listen? Im just like that instead of listening they just stare maybe its because i usually dont have anything to say maybe its because i average half a foot taller then most people and im a large guy maybe its because i tripped and fell on my ass on my way into the room and maybe its just PURE Flare? But i do have to ability to go into a crowded room and have everyone look at me at the same time....Then they all go back to their conversations at the same time. so at 25 i could still be in an amature league? one of the main things i was interested in was the golden gloves and thats amateur right? Perhaps if i get in a gym this week and start learning would something like state golden glove champ be possible by next march when i think sign up is. also is amateur heavy weight 195? i read that some where but i dont remember if it was a reliable source.

Ummm I know that about running right now im doing 3 miles 5 days a week in 25 min or less and a 2 hour jog on the weekends at a realaxed speed no stopping out doors but the long run is just with a friend and not for boxing (hes working up to a marathon). for the 3 miles if im on the tread i do .09 at 6 mph jogging then .06 at 10 mph the second mile at 11 mph for the .6 and the third back at 10 mph for the .6 If im on the road i usually do 15-18 sprints in the 3 miles.(.06 = 100 meters) this is to get me used to 10 mph once i hit 6 miles everyday then ill do like .2 sprint to .1 jogging and just keep increaing as long as my legs hold out every day. my main goal for 6 miles in 40 min would be 6 min at 10 mph with a min walking then another 6 min at 10mph then minute walk and this would be something that i will do atleast 5 times a week + a long run? Sound like a good jogging routine for a soon to be champ?

Ill be calling up the 10$ a month gym that is an hour away today after work maybe head up there and see how they are recently read in the papers one of their fighters turned pro http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/toda..._reputati.html

also raised my bag so the yellow everlast is about eye level still swings like all get out tried it with my 16 oz gloves and get the bag stuck in the rafters a few times seems like the bag bounces away even more with the bigger gloves. Gotta get a heavier bag or well im not really sure but it is a 30 inch from top to bottom 60 pound bag

this maybe a ****** question because ive never been to the gym but when i try to be in guard i have my left shoulder raised and my chin tucked in tight against not like my necks straining to reach my shoulder and my shoulders straining to reach my neck more so they meet somewhere in the middle comfortably my right hand about an inch or 2 in infront of my chin on the right and my left out about 8-10 inches leading. is this a good habit that will help me in the ring?

HA Ha Ha!!! ****!!! Do both...boxing ****...Ha Ha ha...

It wasn't extreme sarcasm...i'd italicize that type of stuff.

If you wanna box. I say box. 25? *****... don't pay no attention to the youngsters sayin you're too old. I'll put it this way: if you gots balls to put up a video for the world to see, not caring how you look, then you got enough balls to step into a ring and box.

Don't call gyms, show up. Just show up and talk to the trainer. Then they'll know you're serious.

I say Box. Real talk, no disrespect.

don't take this the wrong way, because I dont know you, and I havent posted on here in a long while, but your posts are rather ridculous. You ask how many hours a day and how many days a week and what distances you need to run and if that'll get you pro in a year or 2. WHAT?!?!? every single person on here is different and it might take some kid to put on boxing gloves once and he's a natural, and someone else can train for years before he has the fundamentals down. You're asking extremely broad questions. I'm assuming you want some sort of positive feedback and someone to jus tell you that you can make it, but only you can decide if you can make it, well you AND A TRAINER. as far as your video goes, it's bad. And I dont mean this in a rude way, but its just plain bad (not the worst, but bad). You have NO form, no technique, and no crispness. You seem like you're just flailing your arms about to hit something on the target. Your stance, also bad, WAY too square, and not quick enough movement. You need to angle your body so that the least amount of possible target is available to your opponent. hands ALWAY up protecting your head, and elbows in, and move your head. Glide on your feet dont just trample around from spot to spot, and hit the bag when it comes to you, not when its swingin all over the place, slip the bag, side step it, and GET A BIGGER BAG, like way bigger. Instead of asking if running 5 miles or sprinting 1/4 mile will get you in the pro ranks, get a to a real trainer and start training your ass off and sparring as much as you can, then decide whether or not you can make it. This is a sport like no other, and you cant jus go somewhere and learn it real quick and be the best. it takes YEARS and YEARS of hard work and dedication and training beyond your wildest dreams. Again, done take this as disrespect, but you sound kinda ******, or just living in a fantasy world.

You mentioned you were in PA, if you're anywhere near Philly, get to a gym in the city, ASAP!! you wont regret it...
