i was attending the preliminary round of the NY golden gloves in my gym today and there was this guy who was fighting out of a MMA gym.. he did OK for the first 2 rounds but in the last round he was knocked out by a straight right hand

That isn't surprising. Some of those fools actually believe they are real martial artists. Getting knocked out in a few minutes by an amateur boxer must be a very rude awakening.
