There is no point in setting goals that should have been set when you were a teenager. Winning Golden Gloves is alright, but what good will it do you if all you can do is win boring decisions? At your age, do you think anybody will back your career if you can't get knockouts? If you can put 90% of your opponents on the canvass, you don't need Golden Gloves nor Olympic Gold nor any of these other trinkets. Sam Peter found somebody to back his career because he has a punch. That is all he has and that is all he needed.

I'm working in a Pharmacology/Toxicology lab at the University of Regensburg, it's hard work, but it's cool.

But really, to try as hard as you can for a few years to see if you've got what it takes, usually means making the the one and only thing you do you know? So that would mean basically ending my science career, and then, if I don't have what it takes... I donno, it's a frustrating situation.

Anyone else feelin' me on that one?

What Science are you in, cause I'm into like AstroPhysics and Computer Science, and hope to pursue a career in one of them....

          As for the topic...
I haven't been to the gym in a year (before I stopped going I had been going for 2 years) now I just do alot of stuff for boxing at home...

I'd like to have a few amateur bouts but I don't intend on going Pro...I have a passion for the sport but I'd rather pursue other things in life...

i can relate to both da1catas and trick with the whole juggling thing. my mind has been made up since day one though, i'm not going to give up school for boxing in any kind of situation. it just doesn't make sense to me. you can only box for so long. by the time you are 40, you can either stay in the business and train, open some promotion companies or do something else. i'm going to college to do something interesting afterwards, and to make decent money and NOT work a dead end, low wage job, living in a ****ed up neighborhood, barely keeping food on the table. even if boxing doesn't work out, i'm pursuing a career in film behind the camera of course. i have a lot of potential to make money in that field too. i will always be content whether boxing works out or not. there are a lot of other ways to make money.

with that said, i'm going places in boxing lol.
