Well I am a young fighter training for the Chicago golden gloves tourney this fall. My dream is to join the olympic team and win the gold medal at 147. Ive had a few amatuer matches and i really havent seriously looked at going pro. I dont think I have the wind as of now but in a few years possible im still young....ill b 20 next month

i used to want to go pro but now i'm not what i used to be. i'll have to be happy with the am fights i had... anyways, i enjoyed reading this thread, u guys have the fire. i hope u make it to the pros.

If you've had a few amateur fights, you should know that there is no 147 division in amateur boxing...

Good Job man, weren't you around 175ish just last week? Ya you may be able to make 160, but in Canada at least, the next lowest weight class from 165 is 152, and I'm not sure you would make that. We're the same height, but I'm a skinny guy. What do you need to make 160 for? I would think that you could at least cut to make the weight (160).
