Anyone Seriously Trying TO BOX? I mean Forreal?

I'd like to hook up wit the guys really trying to go pro someday... or atleast whoever has the aspirations of fighting AM and going into tournaments.

It'd be good to know who to be able to Motivate the other with info and special training. Boxing needs all the fighters it can get. these Joke athletes/promoters/trainers and Joke fights are taking over and if it continues We're all outta luck.

Doesn't mean you think your the **** now... but it means your trying to actually be the best.. Just because you believe you have a chance People will hate. so don't be afraid to say you belive you can be champ someday.

Who is really tryin to do sumthin?

    ME

i dedicated myself to this **** ever since i found the sport. i have a passion for the sport and fighting is a way i get everything inside me out, in a positive way... i have aspirations of being a succesful amatuer, thats my first goal, i been taking my time preparing for it becuase my pro aspirations kinda went away once training got serious, im still not sure if i can **** in there with no headgear as a career... but i love boxing anough to do amatuer, i found my gym, been training hard, sparrings rough, learning technique and the basics is a long process, and its just hard ****in work, but if u have that passion and love for it, it makes that hard work only seem like fun.

i cant wait to fight, and wanan fight ASAP, but i wanna be a good amatuer, with not too many loses, this is my boxing career for now, i might not ever make it pro, so im taking amatuers soooo serious

da1, u got any pointers for what wins amatuer fights, i heard so many things, like u dont get credit for body punches, knockdowns dont really mean ****.. all this ****. let me know what ur view on winning an amatuer fight is.

and yah the last part of ur post, i aint a jacked kid. i aint hard as **** talkin **** , street fighting all the time... i actually never had a real fight in the street... i am a smart dude i talked my way outta my beefs and problems, and i always seem to fix my mistakes. when i train and work hard and remember all this about myself, it makes me feel like a CHAMP and when i get in that mode, i feel like no punch can stop me, that no one can hurt me, and i feel jus like a ****in machine. that piece to my boxing puzzle is ESSENTIAL, i feel like if i flip that switch on in a pro fight, ill knock mother****ers out... amatuer will be different, but i stil lthink that will help me become a champion

its actually kinda horrible but here it goes. Who ever lands more punches.

Doesn't matter if you knocked the guy down 7 times that only 7 points.

Style doesn't really work because the judges just want you to land. I'd drop one of my nice gems.

AMS is all about accuracy. Unless you ko the guy accuracy wins the fights.

You can throw slaps all night with no power and get knocked down 40 times. but if you landed 2 more punches you win.

          30 knock downs = 30 landed punches.

I view it as por.. it should be like Pro fights. but it isn't. I dont like this olympic style system. thats why fast guys like jones mayweather and sugar ray can dominate anyone with speed in the ams. Power didnt matter, Unless it was K.O. power.

what do you mean by pride? I know what the word means but explain how you mean it. Pride like mayweather Jr. or pride like internally at peace with oneself?

off topic but you have the hitman under RETIRED or should be in your sig, do you mean ricky hatton??

and on topic, im taking it quite seriously now training 3 times a week when and if i can i dont do enough road work but i wanna be a good amateur.

one of the hardest things about it is amateur boxing is so different from profesional, and when you go into that gym all your goals and dreams have come from watching professional knock people out and slip and slide and you think you are supposed to fight like that but your not.

at first you wanna have sick power so you work alot on your power but it doesnt mean ****, there is hardly any knock-downs or knockouts in amateurs apart from if the guy is off balance.

most amateur fighting is straight down the middle or off the back foot aswell, hooks hardly matter which is hard to get used to especially when all you watch is pro boxing.

                  its hard to adapt.

I am starting to come to that kind of sad realization. As far as the hitman goes its THOMAS ''THE HITMAN" HEARNS BABY!!!
