Sean Sherk Responds to Floyd Mayweather

RandomSpeak.com: Floyd Mayweather, Jr. came out the last couple weeks completely bashing the UFC and stating that any boxer would demolish a UFC fighter in the cage. Dana White (UFC President) came back at Mayweather and named you as the guy who he'd put Mayweather up against, and that you would handle him no problem. What are your thoughts on the whole situation?

Sean Sherk: Well, you know honestly in a boxing match, of course he'd beat me in a boxing match. In an MMA fight, he would be in for a beating. I mean, he's not going to knock me out with one punch; I've got a hard head and have been boxing for 13 years so it's not like I don't know how to box. So, he'd have to land a lot of punches to stop me from taking him down, and me being one of the best wrestlers in the sport, there's no way he could stop me from taking him down.

I don't think that fight would last longer than a minute, to be honest with you. And I don't think he should be talking about something that he can't back up, because I'll fight him tomorrow. I literally would, if they called and asked me to fight Floyd Mayweather, Jr. tomorrow, it's done. He's not going to fight me though, and he's just running his mouth. I don't really respect that a whole lot.

Mine are simple..sherk would take him down and GNP him. Mayweather dont know any ground game.

u must not know anything about throwing punches, the heavier the glove the harder it is to throw, 4 oz gloves allows easier striking, i would rather fight in 4 oz gloves then 10 oz. ***ing ******.

mmgay fighters take the easier route to throw punches and get knock outs, lets see how many kos they get if they were forced to wear 10oz bricks u dumb ****

4oz gloves hurt hell of alot more than 8oz or any boxing glove for that matter.

With that said boxing gloves make it harder to KO people. Which is why boxing is a war of attrition.

Ok so im not sure if you have ever seen boxing gloves but just so you know and perhaps next time you looking at boxing gloves you might want to take notice that they look diffrent then mma gloves. some key fetures that you might want to check out would be all the padding around the wrists and the back of the hand, thumb, finger tips you know all the padding that isnt on your mma gloves.

I mean this is just a guess but maybe if you got rid of all that extra padding on boxing gloves and only keep whats on the knuckles you would see the gloves are about the same size. actually im pretty sure the boxing gloves would weight less.

if your trying to make a point maybe you should bring up how boxing gloves are larger so its easier to block and block with. but if you get punched with mma gloves compared to boxing gloves there isnt really any diffrence.

Yeah but BJ Penn has incredible Takedown defense. Your opponenet could know you plan to take him down but that doesn't mean you can stop the takedown if you don't know how to defend it in the first place. Floyd wouldn't make it out of round 1.

I wont go on to say that Floyd will not get past Sherk in the first round..it could be the other way around..of course, Floyd would study how to defend the take down before their fight..i watched that Sherk-Penn fight and Sherk was demolished coz Penn was using his feet really well..As much as I hate Mayweather, I would still favor him over Sherk..

which is why its made to cater for mmgay fighters to increase their abysmal striking skills so they can at least put up a show..hence i consider those as ***** gloves, even a 10 year old can get knock outs with 4 oz mmgay gloves LOL
