There were better fights at 140 when Floyd moved up to 147. Why couldn't he wait a few months for the Hatton fight? He's just interested in easy belts and exhibition fights against semi-retired promoters these days.
    Better fighters at 140?
    Cotto, Hatton and...who?
FLoyd moved up for bigger money because neither Cotto or Hatton wanted to fight him.

Answer the question. Why couldn't he wait a few months to make a fight that could do endless good for his legacy instead of going for a fighter who'd lost 2 of his last 3 fights against meaningful opposition? Actually, only one of those was anything approaching meaningful. The WW division was weak as hell when Floyd moved up.

And yes, Hatton, Cotto, Harris, Witter and Tszyu are better fights than Judah, Baldomir and Mitchell. All Tsyzu had said at that point was that he wouldn't fight again in 2005. Plus you'd get to see Floyd perform at his optimum weight so there could be no excuses.

The Judah fight would have been massive, but that was taken away from Floyd because of circimstances out of his control.
Hatton and Cotto didnt want to fight Floyd, Harris was busy attempting to recover from his knockout loss to MAUSSA, Witter was busy doing nothing, besides beating bums in his hometown and Tszyu was not fighting again.
I would have liked to see Floyd fight Hatton or COtto at 140, but he exercised all of his options at 140 and came up with nothing.

          2. Even if he did he'd still whoop that ass
          3. Floyd would give Hatton a painful boxing lesson, cuz Hatton can't hurt Floyd.

when Floyd offered the fight for autumn 2005, Hatton said he'd be ready to fight in early 2006. Do you keep missing that? How do you interpret that as refusing to fight?

Where do you get that Tszyu wasn't fighting again? It isn't known now and it certainly wasn't back then.

Did most fans not have 140 as the best division in boxing this time last year? Is it not possible for Floyd to look further than 6 months ahead?

Your excuses are lame at best.

Hatton said he would fight him for 13 million.
                Check your facts.
Zoo hasnt fought in over a year and there has been no talk of his opponents.
For Floyd to stuck around for him would be ******, e****ially since he just lost to Hatton.

Convincing argument, but I'm not sold. Sorry.

I have seen no evidence to support that claim, though.

I don't believe Hatton could hurt him at 140.

I'd love for them to meet, to put this Hatton crap to rest. He got his head snapped back by Collazo who Mayweather would beat.
