No, that would be if it only did 40,000.

If he fought Tony it would be far less, due to the lack of exposure even compared to Baldomir.

300k isnt great, but Baldomir didnt help sell much (although he sure brought money from the broadcast in Argentina), his previous PPVs were against fighters that have a name in the country where PPVs are sold.

apart from Oscar and Hatton who would bring the most money?

I would have bet on Cotto then Mosley then Margarito, but i did not know the numbers for mosley-vargas so maybe Mosley then Cotto then Margarito

I wouldn't say Baldomir didn't help sell a portion of the ppv. He got a pretty good response during his ring entrance.

He is better. Oscar will sell more, but Floyd can beat him.

fact is, baldomir DID sell a lot of PPV's.

Underdogs are big sellers, and Baldomir was respectable, legitimate underdog and was supposed to give mayweather a run for his money.

And 300,000 buys is a solid amount. He SHOULD be selling a lot more, but you cant get to interested in a guy thats as big a prick as mayweather is.

Mayweather got Gatti a known fighter to the public for his first ppv. Margarito got an unknown. See the difference?

If you don't think a Tony v. Floyd fight would do at least 300 thousand then you are not knowing whats going on in the boxing world. People are starting or already have been informed of Margarito, and as i've said in the past Margaritos name will be mentioned when they talk about Maywether and have to disect his career.

If and when Margarito wins in December, im sure the talk Mayweather to face him will be great, but don't be surprised if Margarito doesn't even call out floyd because Margarito has already said he is tire of chasing him down.

i would say the latter. it's roughly a low average nothing to get excited about. it sure doesn't speak of drawing power for floyd. it would've been a lot higher if it were a known mexican fighter(margarito), not a lot of people are familiar with Baldomir, casual fans i'm talking about, basically the majority of folks who sway the ppv numbers.

also they would've had more ppv number if they didn't black it out in vegas, that would've been a few more thousand, anything would help.

come the **** on, prime Oscar would've KO'd his ass.. Right now, he still has a chance to beat him, Mayweather is overrated.
