I don't recall being drunk at the time but I still don't remember Austin being hurt by every punch of Ibragimov. But you're missing my point, what I'm trying to tell you is that Ibragimov needs to learn (come up with a good game plan) to defeat a taller stronger fighter since he clearly had trouble doing that in the Austin fight. Granted, Briggs would probably collapse from exhaustion by the 6th round if he was fighting at the same pace as Austin was. However, I think he would KO Ibragimov if he caught him with a good punch in the early round, Briggs seemed incredibly strong.

From what I have seen of Sultan, which is not much, he seems like a talented all around fighter. He is small, however, and is inexperianced at this level. Don't get me wrong he was a great amature, but he failed in his first real test as a pro I don't really count Gooffy. He should have beet Austin. Briggs if he can buckle down and really train will be tough to beet. I think you guys do not give him enough credit in the skill department. He was countering sergi well at times. If Briggs can reallty act and train as a fighter he will do well.

Briggs has skill in that he can time his big wide hooks fairly well but the fact is he trained harder and sparred more for Sergei than any fight in years. That's as good as his stamina gets. Ibragimov will beat him on conditioning and heart alone.

He said he sparred 110 rounds for Sergei. He said 17 rounds was the average he had sparred for previous fights.

Briggs himself said he was homeless..and now he became the HW champion of the world, I dont think Briggs would have came back to the scene, i think its all about money, he earned $400,000 for the Sergei fight. thats a lot compared to what he got in his last 14 fights
