De La Hoya: "Ibragimov Will Beat Shannon Briggs"

Are you serious? It has everything to do with the fight. He had no confidence whatsoever. That's like saying Tyson not having any confidence vs. Lewis had no bearing on the result of the match. Tyson looked better against Lewis than Sergei did with Briggs IMO. He threw more punches and fought with more intensity yet people thought he was sedated or drugged. Sergei fought looking worse than Mike did and you don't even notice it. Go figure.

I just dont think he'd have beaten sultan if he fought the same way he fought serge. serge just seemed to cave in mentally and totally let briggs off the hook when he was gasping for air with his hands down. I couldnt see sultan letting him off the hook like that. I think sultan would have taken lyko out earlier if it was him in there. serge looked absolutely dreadful
As for amount of punches, it remains to be seen. If Sultan brings his best game on that night and will find a way to nullify Briggs' counterpunching, Briggs will collapse in the ring by round 6.

In fact, 9 out of 10 HW would have taken Liakhovich out of there by 8, 1 out of 10 being Briggs, who took him out by 12.

Why do u think he would brawl with brewster and get scared ****less by Briggs. Briggs has some SERIOUS power
