Gatti wants to take on a deadly body punisher when he is weak as **** to the body? He's out of his mind. He'll get killed by those sledge hammer body shots Cotto throws. Cotto is definitely too much for Gatti at this point and Gatti is too small for 147lbs if you ask me. Cotto can balloon up in weight easily at 147lbs compared to Gatti. If a puncher like Ricardo Torres couldn't drop Cotto legitly or finish him off, no way Gatti can.

Your thoughts? I think its a good matchup though it could really mess up Gatti big time.

The pland were that Gatti wins the title from Baldomier then defends against Cotto in December. This wasn't the case do to Gatti losing.

Gatti has said before the Baldomier fight that after Baldomier he was going to fight Cotto. So it doesn't surprise me that we may still see them fight. Will be a good fight, but Gatti is going to get punished. But if Mallenaggi was able to stunn Cotto,Gatti can probably do the same.

Though i'd love to see this fight and Gatti is probobly my favorite fighter but if Cotto wins against Quintana i dont really think Gatti deserves this fight

Aint that a ***** looks like Floyd Mayweather Jr. will retire before Gatti.
Listen the only reason Gatti is fighting cotto is this:
            1. Gatti has one more fight with HBO under his contract.
            2. HBO being the best boxing network has a high standard of fighters, so gatti must choose the best oppent out of the top fighters so it looks like its cotto. After this Fight gatti will never fight again.

Any time Gatti fights, I want to see it. I don't care who or where. If he says he can, then he can. Doesn't mean he will win, necessarily, but its hard to find a more exciting boxer, old or not. Plus, I think he has the wisdom in his corner to stop a fight if it got out of hand. They already proved they'd do it despite him begging.

i think gatti should go for cintron, but that would be risky as hell, too.
oh come on.Gatti was huge for those lower weights.he was notorious for it.

Gatti has no chance against todays cintron, hes big & strong for 147 and hes a more polished fighter with Steward in his corner.

and he never had a chance against cotto,I dont care what weight.he never had the speed to hurt cotto.the guys that were able to hurt cotto had speed.

Gatti should call it quits,Im having a hard time thinking up names of fighters Id even give him a chance against @ 147.

and that just the truth,my brother loves gatti,he hated watching those replay clips of his loses yesterday, and i like gatti too,but his diehard fans seriously overrate him.

if Gatti beat Cotto i guarantee he would get lured in money wise to fighting again

he has nowhere else to go because he couldnt make 140 he explained it really clearly in the video of him "becoming" a welterweight.
