    Delahoya has power especially at his lower weight classes, but stopping Chavez, lol. Delahoya needs a little bit of room to get full power on his shots, as for Chavez beware of his lead right and counter punching abilities, we already know he's a terror on the inside.

He had his chance to be immortal, but he came just short of that no matter the decisions in his fights.
        I cant disagree with this.

          Oscar was just to big and strong for Chavez, even if he was in his prime...but, you never know since it does get hard to compare sometimes...the thing is, Oscar was able to move up in weight and be successful, that shows he is a strong/big boy, and Chavez wouldn't be able to move up like Oscar so he had his limits.

          The fight I really wanted to see is the other guy to knockout Chavez, Kostya Tszyu vs Oscar...Kostya's one weakness is he gets ****y when he is on a win streak and people are hyping him up, but when he is the underdog, or there is a real tough fight that he knows, he trains hard physically and mentally.

            Chavez could box and was effective when he wanted too.

            Delahoya was one hell of a finisher, just ask anybody who seen him from his first fight and on.

            Unless you're trying to put then down, you got to study up, i know you're younger then i'am so you seen less of these guys in the ring.

            edit;
            As for Delahoya being the next Ray Leonard, theres only ONE, Oscar Delahoya.

            And about his right hand, too many trainer ****ed with Delahoyas style that he never came into his own, just like Danny Romero, except Romeros problem was he wasn't sure if he wanted to out box his opponet or knock them out.

            Yeah I'm loosing more and more respect for ol' Asian Sensation with each post I read. Sometimes he talks out of his ass while using million dollar words to seem smart, but big words don’t mean you know **** about boxing, kid. I know dudes like him. He's what you call a Dictionary.com writer. Can't live without that site (Lay off the thesaurus, kid, sometimes too much is too much).

            DLH was an excellent finisher. Chavez could box but he didn't have the blazing hand speed of a Meldrick Taylor. I also disagree that DLH would have beat Chavez in his prime. Meldrick was a much better, quicker boxer than DLH. Sure, he didn't have as much power, but Chavez had a hell of a chin. He covered up a big cut with a bandana before the fight with Oscar, so he was ****ed before the fight even started.

            You know of all the criticism he puts on greats like DLH and JCC, he almost NEVER says anything negative about his fellow Pinoy, Manny Pac (coincidence?). There is waaaay more **** to be said about Pacquiao’s skills and overrated power, but he’ll never say ****. Why? I think we all know why.

            I thought the kid was different from his ****-riding brethrens, he isn’t any different though.

                  People don't give Chavez the respect/credit he deserves. That would have been a hell of a fight and I can’t really say who would win, neither can you. You’re a straight ****-rider if you say Duran would have run over Chavez, though. Chavez wasn’t Ken Buchanan.

                    I didn't say Duran would run over Chavez, but I did say Duran would win...now, am I 100% positive, NO, how could I be, this is boxing, crazy things happen.

                    But I do think Duran was the stronger fighter...if you want proof, look at his career and how high he was able to move up fighting in his style...look at his fight with Hagler.
