We don't know the whole deal; how fair is it that Taylor in this offer would be entitled to a disporportionate amount of more money, not to mention probably a vast majority of gate and PPV upside.

The $5 mill guarantee is much like Arum's $8 mill offer to PBF, it looks GREAT on paper, so the promoters put it out there to the media. The media and message boards eat it up, and now you have a fighter who absolutely must be AFRAID of this fight because he won't take the offer. Well, we don't see all the particulars. There's all kinds of negotiation points in these contracts, including promoter options and what not. I'm not saying DiBella wants options (and Arum said there were no options for PBF in the Margarito offer), but there are just so many things we don't hear about.

But I think this instance is based on DiBella shaping a good deal for Winky and an awesome deal for Taylor, and DiBella has all the leverage here--they have the fight with Ouma ready to go. Winky, based on thinking he won the first fight (and the official result still being a draw, not a loss), wants more of a fair share. He's backed off demanding parity, but he surely wanted to see how much more he could get. Greed? Sure, but that's LIFE, not just boxing. He and Jim Wilkes clearly didn't expect DiBella to slam the door shut after they wouldn't take the offer.

I'm sure they are disappointed, as am I and all boxing fans, but they'll both win again this winter and then meet next spring for an even bigger event, more money to be shared, and we move on.

Winky is in the same position he was in before you haven't beaten the champ. His purse is increasing with the rematch if you win this fight you can now neogiate the terms of the money. Until then take it or leave because I don't see any other fighters that will bring Winky that type of payday. Its not like Winky had terms with other promoters for millions and a share of the PPV buys he turn those deals down. I don't know but Winky is making sick right now to much money to turn down either way you look at it hell I'll climb in the ring and fight. Winky's lawyer adviser knows that winky should've taken it, but than again winky could be full of it too he don't want none of Taylor those punches go through the guard of Winky "THOSE PUNCHES HURTS"...

His purse is increasing but his share is DECREASING. It makes NO sense that Winky would get less of a share after DRAWING, not LOSING, to Taylor in the first fight. Tell me what kind of business sense that makes. But again, he said he changed his mind and would take the share as 60-40, but other things fell apart after that.

Crazy, lou offer winky the biggest money in winky whole damn career for crying out loud. What more is there to prove that winky is once again overpricing himself. Taylor is going to get 6 million ( the one oscar offer to him). Im getting sick and tired at winky. He's acting like tarver.

Breaking News: Ronald 'Winky' Wright's current decision to reject a December bout against Jermain Taylor comes due to the fact Winky is cameoing in yet another Jamie Foxx video.

I thought for sure his wife was a light skin black lady, and in the woman he talks to in the video is a white reporter with a british accent.

That's not correct. Since we know DiBella is offering a 60-40 split, and we know Winky was offered $5 mill, 5 is 40 percent of 12.5. The difference between 12.5 and 5 is 7.5. Taylor is making $7.5 guaranteed. Plus it's clear in the offer Taylor would get most (surely much more than a 60-40 share) the PPV upside and most (likewise) of the gate.

Can you blame Wink for wanting SOME of that money? Again, it's BUSINESS. I don't think they anticipated being rejected, I'm sure they anticipated being able to discuss some of this.
