I can see it taking a few rounds for him to be able to adjust to the constant barrage of punches from Ouma and losing the early rounds.
Taylor doesn't have the devastating one-punch power to keep Ouma off of him, and Ouma is tough as nails. He will keep throwing pesky little punches which Taylor will have to defend while trying to mount an offense of his own.
In a lot of ways I think this may be a tougher fight than the Wright rematch. Wright hits just as lightly, and lacks the volume of Ouma.
Good post, I totally agree. I think Ouma will be a lot tougher than people think. He can use his movement and speed and his constant pressure with his constant punching. If this fight gets into the late rounds, I would have to favor Ouma. We all know that Taylor has had stamina problems, and we know that Ouma seems to never get tired and get stronger as the fight goes on.

Man...this is a weird fight. Ouma is a small jnr middleweight and could fight at 147 according to himself. Fighting Taylor at 160? Wow...I don't know. Ouma is one of my favorites. I'm going to have to get my hopes up and think he can win...but deep down I feel Taylor is too much for him. Ouma is going to have to throw harder than usual to win this fight.

This fight will test Taylor though...make no mistake about it. And if Taylor fights Ouma's fight, Taylor will lose.

Taylor's intangibles may win this for him...but not his power alone. Rubio has as much power as Taylor and he decked Ouma, but Ouma got up and dominated him for the rest of the fight.

Taylor obviously has more championship quality to him that Rubio does however.

I don't recall Taylor fighting anyone that can crack as of yet. The hardest puncher he's faced was Hopkins & we all know Hopkins is a grind you down type fighter. If Miranda gets by Abraham a fight between him & Taylor would be good; I'm not so sure Dibella would let Taylor fight Miranda though.
Thats because what big punchers that are known / any good are still at Middle? Also it seems Taylor is the one who wants to pick his fights not Lou. Either way I'd love to see him fight Miranda but I think he'll out class him, I think Ouma will be very entertaining though.
