It depends when the fight would have taken place.

The Hopkins that fought Taylor would have lost to the Calzaghe that beat Lacy, no doubt in my mind.

The story of Joe Calzaghe is a sad one really considering how much talent he possesses. When you hear all that stuff about the divorce, and the pittance he earns compared to some of the other fighters around today it does make you feel sorry for him. I bet Jeff Lacy made millions off that fight.

Yep Hopkins was trying to preserve his stamina at 160 for a while , but in 2001-2 he would beat Calzaghe

Possibly, but now that leaves us with a fantasy match up, prime for prime.

His punching power has decreased over the years, the more he has struggled to make weight. But he used to have an awful lot of raw power, ripping strength. He was a big puncher.

jones is easily the most over rated fighter of our generation. calzaghes skill and stamina would have exposed roy way before crack head tarver did. jones wouldnt have stood a chance in there with calzaghe and he knows it.

I think Calzaghe had the style to beat Collins.

I'm not sure about a prime Benn.

Word is Collins retired so he didn't have to fight Calzaghe.
