I wasn't going to imply that, but I don't like editing my posts soon after remembering that fight was materialized.

Let's just say the winner of Tony v.s. Clottey fights Williams, and the winner of Floyd v.s. Baldomir fights the winner of the first bracket.
Floyd already said, "Williams who?" I don't think Floyd will fight Margarito after either of his wins over Williams or Clottey.

The point that should be most apparent now is that Margarito should start moving forward with his career not paying any attention to what Mayweather thinks.

Taking the best fights outside of a Mayweather fight is all he can do, and I think Williams is the best opponent available for his Dec. date.

Hatton was getting looked down upon for alledgelly taking a fight with urkal, but now boxingscene.com reports that maybe cotto will be taking that fite. should we now look down upon on Cotto, simply curios?

Only because people felt Hatton should rematch Collazo, or no it would of been fine. If anything the biggest fight I want to see is Mayweather vs Hatton.

Why would Tony take this fight then?

Not sure why you quoted my last post and said this as the topics have nothing to do with each other,

but if you want my thoughts on that I wouldn't be thrilled to see Cotto face Urkal, but from Cotto's point of view it could be a fight for the vacated WBA title at 147. So in that regard, he'd be testing the waters in his first fight at Welter in a title fight.

Makes sense for him when you look at it that way.

He may fight Williams because hes the mandatory for the title Margarito holds. He may fight Clottey because he a top ten fighter in other title organizations. In other words Margarito has to do his thing regardless if he fights Mayweather or not. Sure every fight for Margarito leads closer to Mayweather, but Mayweather hasn't yet, shown interest to fight Margarito.

Its simple, to get his mandatory out of the way. Margarito need to take this fight cause after if he beat williams he don't have to worry about mandatory and tried to look for big fights that he wants.

If mayweather beats baldomir, he will fight either spinks or mosley next.
