Except, here we are. With no date despite Hearn saying just a few weeks ago that the fight would be "completed within two weeks".

The problem with the whole Joshua image is that its catered to the unintelligent. Of which the UK has plenty. I would know, living here. First things first, get that money from Top Rank from arbitration, then I say fight Andy Ruiz in a venue with fans! That's a do or die situation for them both, and FOX would love it! I think Ruiz beats him!

I’m not sure Ruiz would defeat Wilder without improving his foot work to get in on him giving up the height difference. A.J could have knocked out Ruiz in the first fight if he was careful and the second one if he went in on him . Ruiz can take a good punch though so can Wilder throw more then 2 punches at a time and keep composure if he he hurts Ruiz who is still dangerous when rocked ?

Sounds like young Edwards arse is twitching over his two fight payday. For me Wilder has a case due to the pandemic and rematch option. Granted he didn't do himself any favours with the wall of silence and the ****** remarks thereafter but if it affects Tyson moving forward then it surely could affect these plans.

They can pursue legal action for as long as they can find lawyers who can dream up grounds. And if they are willing to pay they will continue to find such lawyers. But winning a case is rather different.

W is going to lose in court as a matter of contract law. It is inconceivable that there was not a time limit on the options for a return. Without such a limit the losing fighter could just sit there and hold up the winner forever and sue if they tried to continue their career. There is NO way that is ever going to happen.

So the question is not whether there is a time limit but (a) has that time period expired? and if so (b) is there any excuse that Wilder can come up with that he can argue means that although the limit was all used up he should still have some sort of claim?

(a) pretty sure it has expired - it has been LONG
(b) he delayed himself due to various injuries but such injuries won't give you an unlimited extension because otherwise the loser could lock up the winner as observed above by just continuing to claim injuries. So pretty much his only possible grounds would seem to be covid - force majeure. But there have been other fights during covid so I can't see that working.

Basically I just think all the noise is W moaning to cover his humiliation. I very very very much doubt he has a legal leg to stand on. And my strong su****ion that this is true is confirmed by the fact that the Fury AJ fight is proceeding undisturbed by W's noise. If he really had strong grounds and there really was a risk of a huge lawsuit the F team wouldn't be so unconcerned.
