A mediator doesn't give a judgment on a case, he just talks to both sides and tries to help them settle the issue without taking it to arbitration.

In his interview with Brian Custer, Wilder said he'd moved on from Fury and would be fighting somebody else next. He's even given out a list of possible opponents.

I don't see Arum's message to Hearn as having any connection to the Fury/Wilder mediation. Bob has talked about Fury vs AJ coming up next himself. He just doesn't want to talk about it as much as Eddie, and every time Eddie says something about it, people expect a response from Arum.

I think it's simply a matter of Eddie forcing Bob to work harder than he wants to work. He's an old man, he hasn't got as much energy and enthusiasm as Eddie.

obviously the arbitration is still ongoing. only an idiot believes they’re still working out details for a fight they claimed was done almost a year ago.

Hearn likes Arum, he says he makes him laugh. Apparently he always talks down to Hearn and tells him what to do all the time like he was a young boy.

          Thanks for the clarification:

Arbitration ruling may force Tyson Fury to fight Deontay Wilder in 2021, Frank Warren says

          November 17, 2020:

Tyson Fury will have to reconsider his 2021 plans and fight Deontay Wilder if his rival wins an arbitration hearing, according to Fury's co-promoter, Frank Warren.

Wilder insists he has a contractual right to a rematch and has taken legal action to ensure Fury's next defense of the WBC world heavyweight title is against him...

"An arbitration judge will decide it. We say it [the rematch clause] is at an end, Wilder says it can be extended. If the judge rules that Wilder is right, then that's what he [Fury] has to do. They will give us a decision soon, but we don't know when."

I didn't see the interview with Custer. IMO, Wilder should move on and fight Andy Ruiz ASAP!

"but our plan is to get this fight announced, to let the public know that both guys have signed for this fight, and then we will go out and talk to the relevant sites and countries where we have had approaches for, [before we confirm] the official site and the date."....

How can fighters sign for a fight without a date and venue being agreed?id say date and venue are not inconsequential for all involved, money from a site fee being one of them, say one of the fighters is'nt happy with the location like Ruiz was with Saudi Arabia then the fight is'nt really signed,am i right?,maybe thats part of why Arum wants Hearn to just cool it on the fight talks,i think Hearn maybe getting ahead of himself.

Before Dillian Whyte signed to fight Povetkin, Ruiz turned down $5million to fight Dillian, saying he needed time to rebuild before taking another big fight.

Imo, Wilder also needs to rebuild before fighting somebody like Andy. But that would mean him being honest with himself and accepting that he lost to the better man in Fury, and that he needs time to recover and work on his basic skills before stepping up to anywhere near that kind of level again. From what I heard about him demanding $10million to fight Charles Martin, and the way he's been talking in his interviews, Deontay isn't willing to do that.

Last time I listened to Bob Arum, in a Sporting Icons boxing channel interview, he said they already have a venue for Fury/AJ, but the date hasn't been finalised yet. So who do we believe, Bob or Eddie Hearn?

The thread topic really shows why Hearn needs to promote this fight he’s going to be doing all the work ,of course Arum is much lazier and doesn’t really do his job as he should but he’s 80 years old or so , he should be thankful Hearns putting it out there . I think it’s also a reason why Fury vs Wilder didn’t do as well as it should have two promotions that aren’t the best at promoting, Hearns where it’s at ,he’s with the times .

Fury vs Wilder was agreed to months before a date and venue was established.
