Outside of KO power he didn't have a single weakness. He's the best defensive fighter of all time IMO, elite counterpuncher, hand speed was top tier, great chin. Just a master of everything in the ring and outside the ring. People hold his oppositions against him I narrow it down to him being too young for the class before him and too old for the guys after.

Floyd to me is top 5, at worst top 10.

as someone said, floyd was not a risk tasker. his best wins were not prime opponents.
and its common knowledge, a big aspect of floyd’s success/ strategy was that he was good at matchmaking just past their prime..

he doesnt make my top 10. too much calculation. great boxers are not measured by statistics alone.

Waiting for the right time to fight somebody is smart in this game. Again I say, he played the game before it played him. And he retired undefeated with tons of belts.

Who was even close to Floyds defense besides James Toney?

        Great little fighter! ...........Rockin'

For me I’d place him numero uno.

I got Manny in top 10 as well.
Floyd is definitely not GOAT. Hes an ATG and probably Top 20. Manny is Top 20 also. Dont know who is above who but dont see why it matters. Theyre both in the company with the best to ever do it...Ali, SRL, SRR, Duran, Foreman, Armstrong, etc

I really can't tell you off-hand. It would take me a few weeks to compile a list, and then it might be larger than what I've suggested. I used to look at the records of bosers who were deservedly famous. Take just one, Benny Leonard, champ for 6 years retired undefeated . Just look at HIS record and look at he OPPONENTS, like say Lew Tendler, who alone would chew up our friend to ribbons. Take Barney Ross, look at HIS record, there are a dozen opponents that would mangle our friend to shreds many whom he beat were HOF champions before and after. And they are only two of many dozens of champs. The guys I meant are some you never heard of. Ted "Kid"Lewis, a ferocious welterweight champ, who fought up to heavyweight whilst still only a welter, never any more.

{Even fought Georges Carpentier for light-heavy title}. who had hundreds of fights, a 20 fight series with welterweight Champ Jack Britton alone, Load of his opponents would destroy our friend. These guys founght REALLY to put food on the table and were as ferocious as bull terriers. In the 1920s and 30s there were about 10 times as many fighters in New York as now in the whole United States. There were about 70 boxing shows every weekend and many during the week. That's where HOFamers came from.

So whilst it would be a big job to do exactly as you ask, you can see that the material is there. just look at the Emile Griffith period, Sugar Ray Robinson period combined. Guys on their records. There are dozens. Luis Rodriguez, Benvenuti, Locche, Sabdro Mazzinghi, Papp could make 154 easily, Carlos Ortiz, Duilio Loi, and many more. I'm certain that our friend would beat very few of these guys, and likely would have 20-30 career ending fights.

The all had a determnation to never lose, although they occasionally did, but only to circumstances, or a fighter better on that day, or, eventually wear and age. but all could switch up 2-3 more levels during any fight. I don't think any of todays fighter could succeed with them except perhaps Manny P. at his best,, and then not always.

Just my opinion, and not containing Bias. I dislike out friend exceedingly, but only his personality, not his boxing skolls, although they don't interest me.

                Again, just my opinion.

So cannot be considered risk taker. So not higher echelon great.
Top 25 all time would be fair. Floyd fans won t like that so to p 20 then for a quiet life
One guy he made lose 2 pounds lmao. One tim ehe was overweight was after a long lay off, 99% of career he was under weight. Weight advantage, fake news. Vegas is the mecca of boxing. Maidana got a rematch, Castillo got a rematch. Top 25, you're out of your fcuking mind. Anything out of top 10 is an insult, his resume is great.

I have him up there with the fab four, the Tyson's, Holyfield's, Pernell Whitaker's, Pacquiao's, JJC Sr, Roy Joneses , Juan Manuel Marquez's, etc.

I don't claim to know anything about Robinson, greb, Armstrong, Ali and even earlier generations, so I would put Floyd in the top 15 pound for pound alotting some of these fighters albeit I would say I know it sounds Corney but with all those old school fighters; top 20 25. BUT he is by far the best of his generation and a very high placing contemporary great!
