    How great was Floyd Mayweather??

Anybody want to take a non bias stab at this?

Where do u rank Floyd in the all time list?

For me I’d place him numero uno.

I got Manny in top 10 as well.

Right now i put him in top 20-25 but if floyd didn't duck and fight boxers in his prime and still become undefeated i have to say top 10-15 atg.

I have him 6th on my list.

He was arguably the most consistent over an entire career but he never reached the same heights as other greats. For example, he never beat a prime undefeated Hearns or a 11 year undefeated Hagler like Leonard. Stuff like that is largely down to the era you fight in, certain greats were blessed with greater competition than others.

Him and Pacquiao both limited their ATG status by not fighting at their peaks though. I ain’t interested in the who ducked who sh**, they’re both to blame IMO.

      My personal top 10 is:

      1. Robinson
      2. Armstrong
      3. Ali
      4. Leonard
      5. Roy Jones. (Although I believe he was the most talented fighter ever)
      6. Mayweather
      7. Duran
      8. Pacquiao
      9. Pep
      10. Greb

I think he's somewhere in the top 20-25. He's a great fighter. Peoplw.will refuse to give him that but his resume is brilliant for his era.

I would say between 100-150th. There is a huge history of VERY top class fighters you've never heard of who would make a snack out of Mayweather and still be hungry.

Skills right up there. But never wanted to really give any advantages away, be it home advantage, weight advantage, glove advantage of whatever advantage. No rematches?
So cannot be considered risk taker. So not higher echelon great.
Top 25 all time would be fair. Floyd fans won t like that so to p 20 then for a quiet life

Damn near nobody has an all time great list all organized and ranked by number from the 1st best to the 25th best or the 50th best. They say they do but they don't and cannot produce such a written down list because they don't have one. Mayweather was obviously a great fighter to me. I have seen a few fighters his weight I think would have defeated him and other fighters not his weight who I think were better R4P, I think he was one of the best but certainly not the TBE or GoAT. One thing that help Mayweather be great was to always stay in great condition between fights and for fights, That way he always performed at his best and did not have off nights and poor performances that some other usually great fighters sometimes had when they did not enter the ring in top condition because they did not train hard.

Carlos Monzon, Ray Robinson, Manny Pacquiao are the top of the tier for me.

Next tier is mayweather holyfield hopkins

then ali, foreman, louis, duran, hagler etc
