truthfully, a margo fight might not never be able to generate more $$$, the $$$ wasn't the problem, the guy has no significant wins, thats the problem!!!
neither has most the guys floyd has fought the last 3 years, so what? why is it an issue now?
Uh, with what exactly? Try making a point, instead of just rattling off a totally vacuous statement.
Did Floyd not totally do a 180 once Judah lost? Floyd was trashing Judah all over the place, every week, and once Judah lost to Baldomir, all he did was apologize for the guy and try to hype him up, why? Because he wanted to fight him, even though he just lost to Baldomir. Did losing a fight to a virtual unknown with 9 losses make Judah worthy of a shot at Floyd?
If I have no idea what I'm talking about, then tell me that didn't happen. Go ahead.
Oh... LOL. Thanks, anyway.
Didnt everybody or most people want him to fight Zab instead of baldomir? I think so, damned if u do damned if u dont. Hell, he listend to the public and fought Judah, then he got criticized for that after he disposes of him so easy. Now he is going after the real undisputed linear champ and he is getting criticized for that. Cant u see the hipocrisy in that?

BINGO! It's an issue, because Floyd wants nothing to do with Margarito. Notice that "If it makes dollars, it makes sense" slogan was thrown out like yesterday's garbage once Arum made the $8M offer.
But that's not what he really saying and yeah I know all about the if it makes dollars it make sense slogan, but dude is trying to get paid and fight great fighters. He wants to be the best in his day, the best in history and get paid well for it. Cant be mad at him for fighting the undisputed linear champ.

I don't think anyone is really criticizing him for fighting Baldomir, I know I'm not.
It's that the rules change week-to-week with Floyd, because of who he does or does not want to fight. He fought Judah because it was more money. Then even though Margarito was more money than THAT, he won't fight him because of his resume. But I don't remember him combing over the resumes of Judah, Mitchell, Bruselas, Gatti, Chop-chop, etc, saying they weren't worthy, and who have they beat, etc. Can you see the hypocrisy in THAT?
I'm fine with Floyd fighting Baldomir. It's what he does after that which is the issue of this thread, because although everyone wants to see Margarito fight Williams, Floyd is trying to give himself an out ALREADY, by deflating the next Margarito offer, even if he beats Williams. So why would Tony even bother fighting Williams? Williams looks to be a freak at 147, and will be very tough to beat. Margarito is the biggest puncher at 147, and the biggest danger to Floyd. Yet he rips both of these guys, but the guys he wants to fight are bulletproof and above all criticism. Can you see the hypocrisy in THAT?
Since Gatti, everyone he has fought has been former champs!!!
and highly regarded around the time he fought them, except for maybe Mitchell.
he's only fought only 2 guys since gatti, zab and mitchell.... i'll give him this much credit, i think baldy will be tougher than spinks and a more entertaining fight... spinks/PBF would have been a stinker..
