Some you you may have also been at the Chat with Floyd yesterday. And one of the questions that was asked to him was "what do you think of Paul Williams?" Floyd responds to this question by saying "who is Paul Williams and what has he done"

Then later on another question about Willimas "When Margarito beats Williams then he has earned the right to fight you?" Floyd then answer again, "who is Williams and what has he done? When Margarito defeats Williams I hope he doesn't think thats enough to earn him a shot at me!"

So all this bull**** talk about Margarito needs to fight Williams to get to Maywether needs to stop. Sure, they will fight hopfully in November, but stop BS'ing that the Williams fight will get him a fight with Mayweather cause even Mayweather doesn't know who Williams is.

At this point, Floyd can just about make up any argument to not fight Margarito, almost no matter what.

If Margarito beats Williams or Clottey, he'll say, "who are they?" So no matter what he does Dec.2 won't be good enough (no bigger names are realistic for that date).

If Margarito beats Judah even by TKO or KO, he'll say "I already dominated Judah and would have KO'd him if not for the low blow".

If Margarito moves up to beat Spinks, a guy Mayweather himself almost signed to fight (and still might in February), he'll say "Spinks got KTFO by Judah whom I dominated".

It'll never end with Floyd. He cleary will not fight Margarito unless he has NO other even somewhat feasible options. Don't get me wrong, if I like the Baldomir fight, I'm glad he's fighting Baldy instead of Spinks and I agree that if fights with DLH or Mosley can be made for early next year, he should make those fights instead of Margarito. Outside of those two fights, though, Margarito--if he can keep winning--deserves the fight. HOWEVER, I will say if a Hatton fight at 140 or a Cotto fight at 147 are makeable, those are more than acceptable fights for Floyd as well.

If he fights Spinks instead, well, see above...he's already beaten Judah who KTFO'd Spinks...it's meaningless.

Boxing is a niche sport these days, no one can deny that. The Internet is a huge part of its popularity because there are forums for boxing coverage that are no longer a part of the newspaper or sports coverage on TV. And, the fact is, Margarito is HUGE on the Internet. Think about this, he's gone from an relatively anonymous welterweight alphabet title holder to the Bob Arum-declared "most feared fighter in the world".

Sure, there are bigger "names" that more casual fans know--the Judahs, Gattis, Mosleys and of course DLHs of the world. But like the previous posters have said, he can't fight Gatti or Judah because PBF has already beaten them, and Mosley wouldn't fight him and DLH won't fight him. Arum won't put his prized Cotto in with him, there's a huge conflict on interest. This isn't Margarito's fault. He's not demanding the lion's share, he just wants a shot.

I wish he would have fought Collazo, but Williams is definitely acceptable. Clottey? Yikes.

Im surprised at Floyd's comments. Williams is an undefeated prospect that has face good opposition and looked good doing it. I think he is in the same boat as Cotto. Cotto has not fought any great opponents neither has Williams but, they both fought good fighters and looked good beating them.
