If as in, if Margarito beats some quality opposition to get his name out to the common fan. If Margarito beats "ONE MARQUEE OPPONENT" (Floyd's words) then he will fight him. I don't see why people don't understand this. Margarito knows what he has to do to get his shot at the best fighter in the world, but instead he fights Clottey.

Floyd didn't say "one marquee opponet" plus what the hell does that mean anyways? The Veteran in the division is Antonio Margarito besides being the best in the division.

It's funny you mention N'Dou, he had 30 ko's in 31 fights and many people from the press picked N'Dou to beat Floyd. All the haters also picked N'Dou to KO PBF.

I thought he said that perhaps I'm wrong. I'll definitely look into it. I don't see how being the "veteran" in a division means anything. There were lots to veterans of the Light Heavyweight division, but Hopkins got the shot at Tarver because he is the big name. Baldy is the champ like Tarver, Floyd is the big name like Hopkins. Its all about the big name, and when Margarito gets his name out there he can call the shots.

No, Carlos Baldomir is the best at 147...

Margarito and his handlers should forget about Mayweather and do what's best for him and his career outside of a Floyd fight.

Williams is his mandatory, and it's an interesting fight. He's earned his crack, and it would be a very solid win for Tony if he could pull it off.

I hope this fight comes off in December.

Tarver was the best no questions asked. Totally differnt with Margarito who is the the best yet other people don't think so because of his fighting style. Or because they hate a Mexican being the best Welterweight, but Margarito is actually an American raised in Mexico.

Before Maywether came on the seen this is what the Ring ratings looked like.

Before Baldomier became champion this is what the Ring ratings looked like.

When Juah was Ring champion this is what the Ring ratings looked like.

Tony beat Manuel Gomez who was number 4, he beat Kermit Cintron who was number 5, and beat Sebastian Lujan who was number 10 all by knockout. Lets see... Floyd beat Judah who was rated number 3 after losing to Baldomir and Mitchell who had just moved up in weight. So... how does he not deserve to fight him. Before Baldomir vs Gatti, these were the ratings:

                      Champ: Baldomir
                      #1: Floyd Mayweather
                      #2: Antonio Margarito
                      #3: Zab Judah
