Alot of people are knocking Plant and dont give him any credit for hand speed, footwork, boxing IQ or ring general ship. I do think he loses to Canelo but not the 1 sided fight people make it out to be. Plant has enough tools in his tool box to beat Canelo IMO I dont know that he WOULD pull it off but I do think its possible. Give the guy his just due.

I agree. Out of the possible opponents for Canelo, I think Plant poses the biggest threat right now. It’s the style.

I don`t see Plant being any worse than Smith brothers or Fielding, lol.

Plant is also 4 inches taller with a longer reach. His jab is 100 times better than smith’s. I don’t reckon he’ll have any real issues keeping Canelo at range.

Yeah Plant is going to keep Canelo on the outside with those pitty-pat punches. Canelo has shown better defense, timing and counter punching in his last couple of fights. Not only can he use his own jab, avoid Plant's jab and bob and weave to get inside, he doesn't have to worry about taking damage because Plant is a weak puncher. People keep saying Plant's style is kryptonite to Canelo but I don't see it. He has to stay on the outside all night and avoid big shots for 12 rounds. Good luck with that.
