No reason to believe Plant will beat canelo at this point and nothing will change that since he will surely sit on his butt until the unification comes acalling. Canelo’s path to unification is rosy indeed

Is his case that he gave a poor performance so Canelo's team should be giving him a short notice call randomly when they're ready?

It is clear that Caleb Plant will duck Canelo. You can tell by his body language when he was interviewed after this fight and when interviewed at other times regarding a fight with Canelo. Besides that, Haymon and PBC will want to tie Canelo to a multi-fight contract and that ain't going to happen. Caleb is a good slick boxer, but he doesn't have anything in his arsenal to keep Canelo at bay. Plant will also do everything in his power to avoid Benavidez.

Plant is a world class boxer, but beating mediocre fighters like Truax is no good preparation for the likes of Canelo and Benavidez, especially Canelo.

Callum Smith, except for one fight against Ryder, looked great dismantling all other opponents, and then he was dominated easily by Alvarez.

I don't believe him, when it's half a year or a year down the line it's all big boy brave talk but when Canelo comes calling meekness and excuses turn up.

Could it be, Caleb is trying to stink his way into a shot? He knows Canelo likes them soft.
