Guy made more money from boxing than any other boxer and was given that opportunity by white executives and then has the nerve to say there's racism. DISGUSTING.

McGregor was McGregor in the octagon long before he stepped in the squared circle. As far as being "loved", I know a TON of MMA fans, and they all hate him. Floyd had nothing to do with it.

It must be hard and unsatisfying to take yourself as seriously as Mayweather does. Generational talent, sure. An amazing salesman for his fights, beyond compare. But being this bitter for this long after accomplishing all he has seems like a complete waste.

True, but an MMA fighter would beat the **** out of a boxer 9 times out of 10 in a "real fight" providing its unarmed and 1 v 1.

Boxers generally do not fare well against other combat sports guys once they step out of that narrow ruleset. Thats why Floyd wouldnt compromise at all on the rules vs Conor or the little Japanese 20 year old. Paulie even managed to **** up in a bare knuckle boxing match vs an absolute bum for ****s sake.

A fight in the real world isn’t “unarmed” and doesn’t have rules. There is a dating we had in the U.S. Army, and I’m sure it’s still said and will be said long after my old British arse passes on, “if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying.” If one doesn’t gouge eyes, bite noses, pick up glass and crack someone on the soft part of the brain stem on the back of the head, bash heads on the concrete, punch and kick the balls then he doesn’t really want to survive.

You have been brainwashed by the ufc.

No they wouldn't. They would never get a hand on a real boxer in the street.

I boxed and got plenty of amateur fights. I think I tussled less than 4 times in well over 60 street fights. When I hit someone they go to sleep and they never have time to react. I know MMA too and never had to use it.

Street fights ain't like sanctioned fights where you come out of your corner and start blasting. A lot of time you standing right next to someone running their mouth and they never see the punch coming because you so fast.

You never been in real street fights or something?

Bad example here, but BJ Penn got SMOTE by some fat tub of lard with 2 punches.

Lol, so your argument that an MMA fighter cant beat a boxer is A) a drunk BJ Penn not even attempting to fight back and literally allowing someone to punch him in the face (at least you admit its a bad example) and B) you sucker punching random dudes in the street and not having to use "MMA" against again, random untrained dudes in the street.

Well **** now i'm convinced. Floyd could absolutely stop a double leg from a dude thats taken people down thousands of times, he could also check kicks and hang on the ground with BJJ black belts. Got it.

Sure, but if we are gonna bring weapons, multiple opponents etc etc into the equation its a pointless argument because an untrained person, a 90 year old or a woman could potentially beat the HW champion of the world under those circumstances. Its not really a "fight" anymore.

This is mostly bullshido like how wing chun and aikido guys think they're gonna do some ninja **** to stop takedowns etc. People naively think this stuff is gonna work against a high level grappler/MMA fighter when in reality they'll be on their back unable to move freely and the other guy will be in a far better position to do all of that **** to them.

If all that **** was legal in the UFC do you think it would put the guy that gets taken down and put on his back in a BETTER situation than hes in under current MMA rules? the more likely scenario is he gets ****ing maimed and the fight ends much, much quicker.

Not at all. It just requires a basic understanding of grappling. Come on man, its an extremely complex skillset designed to pin and restrain another trained grappler, limiting his range of motion etc so he cant escape and has little or no offensive options. How the **** is a completely untrained person going to somehow magically put themselves in a position where they could even attempt to apply these dirty techniques in the first place?

Its like saying a random dude off the street could beat a boxer if he hits below the belt, does spinning back fists and headbutts in the clinch.
