Seems to me Liakhovich and Maskaev are down to unify, but Wlad and Valuev are not because they are the ones fighting lesser competition this fall. I want to see Wladimir fight at least 2 of the other champions and not wait for everyone else to unify. You know Valuev is going to fight bums until he gets called out (anybody else think it's weird how nobody has called him out??)
Klitschko-Lyakhovich in November?

I'll agree with you on this one brother. If he were one day able to unify, it would be better to take the WBO and WBC separately - I put it that way because it is certainly possible that these belts, especially Makaevs, change hands again before Wlad gets a shot at them.Comment

Granted no one is exactly hoping for Briggs either, but the main difference is that a fight with Briggs will be much more competitive than Lyakhovich. As good as Lyakhovich is, he probably can't beat Wladimir. Briggs offers a much more competitive challenge, one that Lyakhovich doesn't bring. If I had my way, Lyakhovich wouldn't be considered a world champion because what the **** is a WBO title? Ten years ago, the WBO belt meant as much as the NABF and the NABA. Wladimir is fighting a contender in my book, no matter who gets the go.
I cant find the quote, but didnt you say that Wladimir vs Briggs is gonna be Wladimir v Derrick Jefferson II, or something to that affect? If so, that aint no competition, unless you simply changed your mind...Comment
