Here's why I REALLY hate Muhammad Ali.

Yep he could have given exhibitions which would have greatly boosted morale. For almost the first time, I agree with you, although not about Tyson. THAT was an obvious scam.
Further to what I wrote ,answering Pugilist Tom, both Sugar Ray Robinson and Joe Louis "went to war" to serve their country. They served by giving exhibitions, which were much appreciated. Barney Ross went as a fighting soldier. But he was retired by then, no longer a champion. Yet he also could have given exhibitions.....
But what did he do instead? Stayed home and complained the entire time while young men were getting slaughtered.
He gets no respect from me at all.Comment

even today i can't respect a black man in america for joining the american armed forces unless he was desperate to earn a living.
the wars only serve the interests of the elite and use american tax payers money to fund them.
the war in iraq cost over 2trillion...reality is most of that was laundering through third party contractors.Comment

1. He’s dead. Let it go.Countless Americans died in the Vietnam war. He refused to do his part and join his brothers when they needed him the most. He would have greatly boosted their morale and perhaps even turned the tide in the war for a victory if he had joined.
But instead he spoke out against the war and refused to fight in it.
So while his brothers were getting slaughtered, he was in his mansion living the good life and impregnating women all day.
How anyone can respect this guy is bizarre.
2. Why do you blindly support ****** wars?
3. “Support the Troops” is a political slogan. It’s not patriotic. It really means “Support My War.”
4. Ali had no brother who got slaughtered in Nam. His only brother, Rahman, is still alive today.
5. Do you seriously believe that Muhammad Ali’s support could’ve changed the outcome of the Vietnam war?Last edited by NachoMan; 01-20-2021, 03:12 PM.Comment

Let's face it, he wasn't the brightest athlete ever. I can respect his stance on the war. He paid a hefty price for it too. But a guy who claimed to be so "woke", independent and free-thinking, was a puppet for the Nation of Islam for so long.Comment
