The draft should be classified as a human rights violation. When you force upon someone killing, dying, physical and/or psychological damage then what else are you doing if not exactly what i said? Just because you claim it's in Americas interest now you get a freecard to waste someones life?

That's only if you make the case that America was facing annihilation by Germany if they hadn't joined the war wich i don't believed it was. America was out-industrializing Germany. Besides, it was the USSR and the eastern front that stood for the bulk of Germany's losses not like the shít Saving Private Ryan has you believe.

Ask Eastern Europreans how "liberated" they became from USSR consolidating it's power.

I refused to go to Afghanistan . My 2nd re-enlistment was coming up and I had already done one deployment. The captain of my company kept trying to get me to re-enlist but I was like “*** dat”. I was getting older and wiser. I’m not gonna keep supporting bs azz wars started by white men to kill non white people. So I got out and never looked back. Not an ALI fan but he was right for refusal of the draft.

What Ali did was only become the most recognized face on the planet! He inspired AND STILL inspires young black men! He gave young black men at the time some glimmer of hope that they were worthy, and they were equal to ALL men of all colors and he showed them that they deserve respect, that they could become something!

The Vietnam war was WRONG and even the General who choreographed the war later said the war was WRONG!

20 years from now, hell 30 years, hell 50 years from now some black kid suffering poverty living in a high crime area is going to dream that he has a chance to escape from a life of poverty and he will rise to the top of his profession and become a star. And that will be repeated time and time and time and time again.

Ali will never be forgotten by the folks who believed in him and then believed in themselves when they saw a man with confidence to be who he was so that they could become their best!
