The reason why there hasn't been a fight is because of the pandemic, Fury's own promoter Bob Arum, Fury's own network ESPN and Fury himself.
First, Arum wanted it postponed to December 19th 2020 because of the pandemic:
Then ESPN wanted it postponed to February 2021 because of the football schedule:
Then Fury wanted an interim fight on December 5th:
Then Fury's feelings get hurt and he never ever wants to fight Wilder again. Mind you, this is the same fighter who supposedly beat Wilder EASILY in a fair fight and who can EASILY settle his differences in the ring:
All this time, Wilder is ready, willing and able to fight Fury in December:
Of course he has a backup plan. But the false narrative being pushed by Fury and Joshua fans is that WILDER is the one who doesn't want to bust Fury's head in, with or without fans. All this drama because, on a level playing field, Fury knows the third fight will be very different from the second fight.
So Wilder is trying to force Fury via arbitration to be LEGALLY bound to fight him. Once that's established, Fury has nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Except retire. Again.
