No he wasnīt. It was actually the opposite. Benavidez was calling Plant, has even insulted him, and Plant hides. You donīt have access to You Tube?? Benavidez is the one calling Plant. The latter just fought Mike Lee, Feigenbutz and now Truax. Three nobodies. Why not Benavidez ??? The promoters donīt want him to lose and therefore lose some of his " White Boy Champ " marketability. Itīs all about business. Plant knows he canīt win unless he gets on his bike and hugs all night.

Why would he risk his Canelo payday?

Before Canelo became a champ at 168, Benavidez was calling him. Three years ago at least Benavidez has been calling him out. The Canelo payday is an excuse. He is a coward, knows Benavidez will beat him. Matter of fact, Canelo wants no piece of Benavidez either.

Benavidez just fought Dirrell, who is better than the last two Plant just fought and even better than Plant himself. And Angulo, who went the distance with Zurdo Ramirez and is tough as nails. Both Angulo and specially Zurdo Ramirez would kill Plant.
