Ruiz had a 65% KO ratio going into the Parker fight. 64% KO ratio going into the Joshua fight. He also had the weight advantage over AJ.

With that said I did pick AJ over Ruiz in the first fight because I felt Ruiz was too overweight and out of shape.

Ruiz 64% KO ratio is all at HW. Usyk hasn’t really proven to be all that powerful at HW. He knocked out Witherspoon and decisioned Chisora. Chisora has already been stopped multiple times in the past. So we’re not talking about an iron-chinned fighter here.
My bad, I saw it in the 50's on boxrec, but didn't do the math. If I'm wrong I'm wrong. Could have been prior to the Dimitrenko fight.

Usyk should do the right thing and take the step aside and fight the winner. Fighting Joyce for a vacant belt is not a legacy move.

Do we think he genuinely won’t step aside or is he driving up his price??

          Hearn Doesn't need Usyk's consent?

“Really what will happen is, we will apply to the WBO for the undisputed fight and if they say, “No, you need to talk to Oleksandr Usyk” we will go to Oleksandr Usyk and we will try to make him happy to allow that fight to go on.

He is driving up the price! Money for not fighting is a wise business decision indeed!

Especially if he gets a contract which says he still gets a shot at the title after

Interesting that he split from Eddie Hearn, maybe him and his team feels they are being given the run around and I know he had some issues before the Chisora fight and feeling he was being setup to lose to Chisora

Interesting to see how this plays out but it doesn't seem like a fight with Fury is happening anytime soon either especially without a Full Crowd

Yet didn’t include they will vacate the WBO belt ? Usyk cannot stop the fight it’s not even possible .Ha

Did you see what is being said anyway ? The WBO can override their mandatory position according to Hearn but that’s just a potential scenerio should Usyk make things difficult which we still haven’t heard directly from him other then stating he wants to see the undisputed fight himself ?

He didn't split the deal ran out unless the next fight is AJ. They may just go forward on a fight by fight basis like Brook was, Whyte even Canelo. Unlike the PBC fighters under slave contracts to their masters like "Master Finkel" the Matchroom guys appear to be able to do what they want , when they want and if Usyk goes to PBC I'll sure Hearn will still have him back when he has served his time ;-)

It's a shame more fighters weren't on freedom of movement contracts and could just fight where they wanted, it also solves all the court cases against the likes of Shelley Finkel for stealing from fighters which gives boxing should a bad name.

Why would they need his consent? He’s not the governing body & WBO President has the final say on the issue. He’ll do what he’s told. End of.

People put a lot of these inconsequential boxers on a pedestal they don’t belong. He’s a mandatory - not a champion. WBO has the final say.
