You make up your ‘prospect’ excuses and I make up ‘size’ excuses.

I’m just trying to level the playing ground. Fair is fair, but praises aren’t the same

Its not a excuse because I am not excusing anything. Get it.

Ryan was a prospect who turned contender defeating Luke.

Lomachenko been fighting at 135 for 3 fights before facing Luke so..... your size argument is just an excuse you want validated. + all his wsb fights were at the lightweight limit aswell so thats a total of over 8 fights prior to luke that loma fought at the lightweight limit so.... just an excuse.

Ryan Garcia was not seen as good as Lomachenko. He was seen as being levels below. Actually Garcia is still seen as not being good as Loma, Teofimo, or Davis even now. He is also 22.

Campbell is a step up to what Garcia has been fighting. This fight will lead to Garcia and his handlers know who he is ready for or what level he is in. If he beats Campbell then they can go on to the next level. If he barely wins and squeaks by him then he would need more work against THAT level. If he straight up loses then he would need to go below that level. He destroyed Campbell in exciting fashion and the first to KO that “bum”. So a lot of questions were answered for fans, journalists and his handlers.

How good your win is depends on where you are in your career and how good you showed you have been and what level of fighter fans think you should fight.

Lomachenko has a 396-1 amateur record, 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist, 14-1 pro record with 6 of those wins being against fighters who were top 10 in the respective division, and 1 win over a top 5 P4P fighter. His fans were also saying that he can beat Floyd Mayweather at 130-135. So Lomachenko fighting Campbell, was a little underwhelming due to him already having beaten guys like Russell Jr, Rigondeaux, Pedraza, Linares, Walters and how highly journalists and fans thought of him.

For Ryan Garcia on the otherhand, Campbell was an absolute step up fight for him. Many fans called him a fraud who gained popularity because of his looks and being with DLH/Canelo. Many fans didn’t think much of him. So Garcia actually had something to prove vs Campbell. There was nothing for Lomachenko to prove vs Campbell. Garcia KO’ed him while Lomachenko decisioned him.

If fans want to turn around now and say Garica’s win over Campbell should be treated the same then those same fans need to start giving Garcia the same general praise they give Lomachenko. Either that or say that Lomachenko isn’t as good as he is being made out it.

Tldr: Fans don’t think much of Garcia. Same fans praised Lomachenko as an unbeatable boxing god.

So basically you're saying if you're not a world champ, then you're a bum? you're not a boxing fan.

He is far from the greatest boxer but if you want to call him a bum then your calling the majority of boxers bums really. Words like bums and quitters etc are used far too often

Audley Harrison was a bum who won Olympic gold.

It's a dumb thread for sure but amatuer accomplishments don't necessarily carry over to the pros.
