Gatekeeper. If you beat a gatekeeper it opens the gates to a big fight. If you beat a journeyman you're only doing what you should be doing. Luke is a gatekeeper. Ryan gets the big fights now.

Consecutive losses might almost put him to journeyman level but because of his pedigree I can't go that far.

I agree with this and I’m guilty of doing the same. I also called Campbell a bum but he’s not. Olympic gold is a great accomplishment. It’s a knee jerk reaction when you have people claiming Purse is elite.

yeah praise is worthy for a prospect who jumped into contender status through the victory of defeating Luke and as a contender doing it in better fashion than the once hyped p4p#1 was able to do is praise worthy.

And no, of course not. Nobody should get credit for fighting somebody coming off two losses and nobody wants to see that fight. Luke would need a confidence booster fight next but any other up and comer to beat him would probably get credit. Though a Campbell win should now lose some value.
