How will that work? Who from currently highly ranked fighters would want to fight Loma? He brings nothing but problems, "L" and not Canelo-level of money. There is a reason Lopez doesn't want to fight him. They'll wait him out now. I hope Loma gets a shot at other champ in the division, if he loses it in a similar fashion he should just retire. But if not...

Just make the best offers you can and fight the best opponents you can until you climb the rankings. What else can he or anybody else do?

Loma is a true disgrace to the sport of boxing. A real champion would have congratulated Lopez, who I don't like either, but it doesn't matter. Lopez won the fight. Give him his props, go back to the gym and work on things you could have done better, and go for the win next time. I'm sick of these fighters like Loma.

Reasonable post, but wasn't Loma the seasoned lightweight champ? Size should never be an excuse, bro. Loma weighed in at 135 sharp, same as Lopez. Loma had no pound to spare to show he's this small guy. Loma also fought at lightweight in the amateurs eons ago.

Yeah, I know there are plenty of smaller fighters that have beaten bigger guys. It happens. Though the power was probably too much for Loma to take risks early on. Perhaps that is the best thing Teo did, was keep Loma off him early and it is overlooked because it wasn't anything special to look at. In that respect, he did a good job but nothing to brag about.

I hate making an excuse but wasn't Loma also on a long lay off? Perhaps the layoff and Teo's power did him in early on the fight.
