Is it me, or did Bumchenko go from Chad to Sminem?

Lopez won that fight 115-113 close but the rounds were pretty clear. Loma is an amazing talent whose record is top class but reality check and some humility required.

Fight wasn't that close for me

          I gave Loma 3 rounds

Take your L like a man and move on.

How will that work? Who from currently highly ranked fighters would want to fight Loma? He brings nothing but problems, "L" and not Canelo-level of money. There is a reason Lopez doesn't want to fight him. They'll wait him out now. I hope Loma gets a shot at other champ in the division, if he loses it in a similar fashion he should just retire. But if not...

On the other hand, Loma who looked great in the second half of the fight, doesn't have much of a case to be made for winning the fight when he did jack ***** the first half. Probably had difficulty with the size and power adjustment. I think he almost sold out the second half and really went at Lopez but when he did that, he looked great. Just waited too long to do that.

Neither guy can really say it was a great performance. I think a rematch is warranted but it will be the same result if Loma doesn't start faster. I think Lopez fans, I being one though, shouldn't talk much about how great of a win it was because it wasn't pretty at all. He got the W on his record and that's as impressive as it is.
Wise post. You make some good points and have a balanced view, which is sadly rare.

I think Lopez deserves kudos for beating an extremely highly-rated opponent, but the biggest thing he had going for him that night was Loma's awful strategy. I'm kind of going over what you've already said though.

No he's deserves all the credit for being a 5 to 1 underdog some places and having a huge disadvantage in experience. The site difference wasn't as apparent as game plan and rimg generalship. He was the better man period the size difference wasn't that of Canelo Smith or even Canelo Jacobs

Lomachenko was no punch chenko the first half of the fight. He fougnt scared. Nothing wrong with moving and using your legs, but let your hands go and don't make excuses. Lederman's card did stink. But Lederman didn't make Lomo leave his nuts in the locker room for six rounds. The right man won the fight.
