Anthony Joshua has become very, very underrated recently.

Lewis didn’t really do anything vs a fighter who literally walked away, often wasn’t even looking - and randomly started crying. Not his fault - but you can’t give him any credit for that fight because it was all about what McCall did rather than Lewis to be honest.
Joshua was hardly timid anyway, he won convincingly but he did get some shots in too. If you don’t like a true boxing style then that’s fine for your view of entertainment .- but that doesn’t take away his ability.Comment

I think I must have been overly critical of his performance against Pulev, I have watched it again and he actually looked more comfortable in winning that fight. I think the issue with him is he doesn’t have a good poker face, when he is tagged, buzzed, hurt or uncomfortable etc you can tell right away on his face, the same cannot be said of the others. They hide it well, like everything is fine.Comment

Completely agree with you there, most fighters you know are hurt because they smile. With Joshua even a small hit on him and he suddenly looks completely scared. It must give the opponent a boost when they get that sort of response.I think I must have been overly critical of his performance against Pulev, I have watched it again and he actually looked more comfortable in winning that fight. I do think that ironically , this bad poker face , actually makes him really hard to read from the outside - you can’t tell when he is really bad or not.
When his head starts floating around such as a very short few seconds against whyte (I think round 2 or 3), end of round 5 vs Klitschko & after Ruiz knockdown) I think is the sign to look for. I think I’ve only seen it those 3 fights.Last edited by Kezzer; 12-18-2020, 05:18 PM.Comment

I think it’s just because fighting was something he stumble unto. He comes across very scared in the Parker fight, in the Ruiz 2 and last week, but in reality he was actually winning those fight and actually comfortable. Someone need to show him the ropes in that aspect. You would never notice if or when Tyson Fury is buzz, nor would you with Wilder or Whyte (Unless he is laid out or doing the chicken dance).Comment

He definitely shows a lot. When he's buzzed he immediately retreats backwards and the opponent knows he's hurt him.I think I must have been overly critical of his performance against Pulev, I have watched it again and he actually looked more comfortable in winning that fight. When he's just hit he reacts as well. Makes it nice and clear to the judges he was hit, even when he's not hurt.
Definitely something he could work on. It doesn't matter too much when you're knocking guys out, but the elite fights go to points more often than the fights on the way up.Comment

Watch his demeanor vs Kiltschko and Whyte, he was borderline sadistic in the Dillian Whyte fight etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 12-18-2020, 06:00 PM.Comment

Lennox was the beginning of the big men he was a giant compared to Holyfield Tyson etc. , I think he was over rated, but yeah Joshua gets a lot of hate thinking he is a easy beat, I feel he is boxing the best of his career.Remember, Lennox got clean wrecked by 2 B-rated fighters in McCall and Rahman and came back to avenge the losses and go down as the best heavy since Ali.
AJ has fight changing power in his right hand and great jab. Also he has the sickest uppercuts ive seen since Mike Tyson. He's strong as **** too, so Fury won't be able to bully him on the inside or drain him by putting his weight on him like he has done to lesser fighters before.
I still think Fury is a favourite but it's like a 70/30 or a 65/35 kind of fight. Fury has been down before, he can be gotten to. The thing is that he has like 4 different ways to win, so he's a deserved favourite, but counting Joshua out entirely is really ****** imo.
Can't wait for this fight and may the best man win.Comment

So what ? Did Ruiz do the same ? No. He did not because Joshua was to weak to put himinto this position. Think.Lewis McCall was not more convincing. Get out of here.
Something was going on with McCall who literally refused to go back to his corner and walked round in circles. He didn’t get knocked out, he simply refused to fight. He was in rehab in prep for the fight and something clearly off.Comment
