I agree with a lot of what you’re saying. However Eubank isn’t ranked in the top ten of any world organization at Super MiddleweightI said his last win at 168 was in 2017 december. He then lost vs degale. Fought a bum at 175. He wasnt supposed to fight a top10 guy right away, but he wasnt supposed to barely scrap by.
No contest vs quillin and then proceeded to nearly losing vs a journeyman. Hardly, a convincing argument to be a challenger.
I also dont mind truax if plant didnt fight feigenbutz and ****ing mike lee prior to this.
Lionel Thompson is coming off a good win. Shishkin fighting in august isnt an argument for not fighting in january. There were talks about eubank wanting the fight.
All better than a 37 year old whose last decent win was in 2017. I even like steven nelson better at this stage of boths respective career.
Regarding the degale win, it's a matter of opinion but jack beat the prime out of degale. He looked considerably worse since then. It's still a good win for truax though.Comment

Plant turned down the Canelo fight before Saunders was going to get it,he said he wanted 5 months to train for Canelo & that thats why "Canelos a coward for not letting poor fighters like me train for several months" he went through the stages of grief for the world to see after he was called a chump for thinking hes entitled to 5 months nobody gets.He is ranked #3 by the IBF and 13 by WBC.
Please enlighten all of us on who he is supposed to fight since you seem all up on your boxing knowledge.
Plant was tossed around as a name for the next Canelo fight but he was passed up for Callum Smith. Billy Joe Saunders just fought 2 weeks ago, Lemieux October, Jacobs November, Shiskin August, Martin Murray December, Berlanga last week, Benevidez August. Please inform me who he was supposed to fightComment

I honestly have Plant over Benevidez as well. Benevidez’s footwork is awkward and slow. He lunged with his shots and fires them in a loop. Plant is probably one of the fastest in the division, had excellent footwork and is an elite counter puncher. Given that I think he truly picks Benevidez apart. What saves Benevidez though is his power. The people that hate on Plant obviously hasn't paid attention to the guy. He probably has the best footwork at 168 and is a natural boxer with decent pop. If given the chance he could possibly take over the division IMO. I think Benavidez is top dog at 168 and Canelo would be a great fight for Plant. Other than those 2 I think Plant beats them all.Comment

He had just fought Feb 15th so no it wasn’t “several months.” I know when we are full of emotion we like to embellish a weee bit. In fact I can’t find anywhere where he asked for 5 months. Furthermore there were no “stages of grief” he was interviewed and ASKED. His response was succinct (I know big word there) and to the point. There wasn’t any crying.Plant turned down the Canelo fight before Saunders was going to get it,he said he wanted 5 months to train for Canelo & that thats why "Canelos a coward for not letting poor fighters like me train for several months" he went through the stages of grief for the world to see after he was called a chump for thinking hes entitled to 5 months nobody gets.

this is why its hard to bother convincing anyone on here anymore,it was literally widely reported that Plant was saying he wanted at least 5 months between fights to fight Canelo. Stop protecting your fighter like we don't know what happened
And ftr Plant would've had longer to prepare for Canelo than he gave his next opponent Trauxe & hes fighting for peanuts in comparison but wanted a big payday & several months v gingers of courseLast edited by kushking; 12-17-2020, 07:23 AM.Comment

So it went from 5, to several to 5,6,7.... I’m protecting no one I’m a fan of both. And for your reading pleasure please do find for me 5,6,7 below....I know if you tell a lie long enough people will believe it but not this guy.....He literally said he wanted "5,6,7 months to get ready for Canelo".

“ Plant on what he makes of the response he’s received for not looking towards a possible May fight with Canelo:
“A lot of say so on both sides of the coin. A lot of people understand what I was saying and what I meant, and then a lot of people understanding what I’m saying because they understand boxing and how it works, and then there’s some people that’s just a fan of Canelo — they wanna see him fight and win no matter whose expense it’s at or how it happens or how long they get to train or how long they get to rest. No matter what I say I’ll never be able to convince those people otherwise so...”
On likening a May fight against Canelo to the one Kovalev had with him, where Kovalev later admitted it was a cash grab he took knowing he didn’t have adequate time to rest:
“Yes. Yes, absolutely. And Kovalev admitted to that and I know that people say ‘Well Kovalev had a tough fight with Anthony Yarde and you didn’t have a tough fight’ — but I’m not talking about resting from the fight. I don’t need to rest from the fight, and most of the time you don’t need to rest from the fight. It’s the training camp that you rest from, all the miles, all the sparring rounds, all the sprints and making weight.
“‘Oh, well Andy Ruiz, he did it!’ But that wound up being a fluke anyways and on top of that he don’t have to make weight. So he even said he doesn’t do a disciplined camp anyways. I do a disciplined camp, so for me to do that as long as I have and then take these two weeks of February off and then train March and April just to fight May 2nd — anyone who knows boxing knows that’s not how it works.
“Everyone used to fight five or six times (a year), yeah, but everybody stopped doing that too, and that’s for a reason. And at the same time, everybody was doing it so it’s an even playing field. If it’s just me doing it, then that’s not an even playing field. So, I don’t know.”
On how much rest he normally needs between fights:
“I’ll rest for like a month-and-a-half maybe, tops. But I’ll be active in the meantime...You have to rest, you have adrenal glands — when you do high activity it drains those. Those have to refill. I’m not trying to get too scientific and stuff, I’m more of an old school boxing, you know, the way I go my boxing is more old school anyways but those are scientific facts.
“I’m not ducking nobody, I never even said I don’t want to fight Canelo. I do want to fight Canelo, but I’m not fighting him in May, that’s all I’m saying. Not in May.
“They say ‘Well Andy Ruiz did that’ but Andy Ruiz wasn’t a world champion, so he was jumping on the opportunity to become one. I don’t have to jump on an opportunity to become a world champion because I’m already one and I’ve already defended my belt twice. I’ve solidified myself as a world-class caliber boxer. So I don’t just have to jump on a penny.
“Fans get so mad and hate when they think a fighter is just all about the money and now you have a fighter right here who’s saying I’m not just in it for the money, otherwise I would jump on this fight. I’m in it for legacy, I’m in it to become a superstar, I’m in this for the long haul. I’m a real world champion. Then you do that and they’re still mad...
“I’m all for fighting three times a year, I’m all for that, but anyone who knows boxing knows that’s completely unreasonable. They trying to get me — I’ve been in this for a long time, I know how boxing works.”Comment

Didn't bother reading most your drivel because you're calling me a liar when you're clearly uninformed of the FACT Plant ducked Canelo & was clowned for saying he wanted"5,6,7 months to fight a fighter like Canelo, come on man gimmie an opportunity to be my best, don't try to cheat me with a 2 month camp right after I fought(a bum)"So it went from 5, to several to 5,6,7....
