Canelo is the most overrated boxer ever

As many have already pointed out, Canelo is not overhyped. He is brilliant technically, has good speed, footwork, power, and a very good chin.

Yes, he lost the first Golovkin fight, but he won the second, by at least 2 rounds, and looked dominant in doing so.

You can argue it but what does the official records say? That's why he's number 1. He also showed tremendous improvement since the mayweather fight with the ability to adapt and change it up in between the first and second GGG fights. P4P is all just opinion anyway but he is definitely not the most overrated boxer ever like the OP claims

I agree with that so if you go by that logic, being a draw in the 2nd fight at best for Canelo, he clearly lost the first fight.

He doesn't deserve P4P#1 and is overrated.

I had Canelo winning both fights. The second one wasn't even close. As I said earlier, Canelo's resume still stands tall over almost every current fighter without the GGG wins.

Like I said, most fans on the forum don’t even think about GGg anymore and Canelo continues to do his thing. I don’t know what willl happen Saturday, but should Canelo win, he gains more fans and respect. But u can continue bringing up GGG if u want. The more fans the merrier

Sad thing is with Canelo, we don't know if he put some weight clause on Smith anyway. Just kind of hard to really give him 100% credit with his history. Always feels like something shady is just around the corner.

Yes a lot of his Money May resume is smoke and mirrors for sure. Pretty Boy Floyd was a great great fighter though. But as he aged/moved up in weight, he stopped really taking on challenges. I think that is clear enough.

I thought GGG won both fights.I thought he won 8 rounds to 4 the first fight and won 7 rounds to 6 ln the 2nd fight. Canelo gets the generous scoring in Vegas. In the 2nd fight Canelo was 27 years old and GGG was 36 years old. That is a big youth advantage for Canelo. I think Canelo is a great fighter now but I think GGG was a better fighter just not as popular. The prime GGG KOed 22 top 10 contenders or champions in a row. Nobody else fighting today can match that.

canelo's comp like crawford's is suspect. he looks good against average fighters but needs gifts vs elite fighters.

if canelo can beat andrade, and charlo i will consider him legfit. fighting the callum smiths of the world doesn't cut it comp wise.

Name one active fighter in the entire sport who has a better resume than Canelo.
