It's crazy how much of their self-worth some people have tied up in some of these fights/matchups. Like if your guy loses, who gives a fu,ck? Sometimes Cormier wins, sometimes Miocic wins, etc.

Just watch the fight and score it for the better man on the night. Give the other man credit, your guy can work on his flaws and try again another day.

It's not that serious. Sometimes your guy wins, sometimes he loses. It happens!!!

I'm honestly surprised how popular GGG threads still are. Look at the post counts in those. He still brings out the haters in full force.

          Agreed. Loma, not so much.

Haters? You can’t blame posters to make jokes for what boxing editors provide.

Many forum users on this forum are great. I know many of them have turned around and saw the unjustified hate Canelo got, but the reality is, boxing is basic. You rate fights as they go. It’s not the NBA or MLB. Boxing is limited. Most Canelo haters saw what he did with Jacobs, GGg, Kovalev. They are entertained. GGG said 154-168 was easy.. I mean cmon..

Don’t be mad with posters whom turned around to admit they were suckered with the protagonist vs antagonist.

You guys can’t handle the truth that Canelo was always the protagonist.

Canelo is a good fighter. He beat Jacobs 7-5. Lost twice to GGG 8-4. And was probably getting outboxed, slightly, by Kov before he stopped him. He is a good fighter though with some good attributes for sure.

The funny thing is the same people who said that Golovkin is a hype job, now say that Canelo is great for beating him. What's so great about beating a hype job?

                  Maybe many people did that.

As a GGG critic, I never used GGG to rate Canelo's resume yet, never did. Both fights were forgettable and I was not impressed either way. Canelo's resume can stand on its own without GGG. GGG's, not so such.

I have 3 levels of boxing: Good, very good, and great. Neither Canelo nor GGG is great, as the word is intended. It carries the highest standard. GGG is a good fighter, Canelo is a very good boxer.

Like I said, most fans on the forum don’t even think about GGg anymore and Canelo continues to do his thing. I don’t know what willl happen Saturday, but should Canelo win, he gains more fans and respect. But u can continue bringing up GGG if u want. The more fans the merrier

Really? Most of Canelo's big-name wins were either against past prime or catch-weight opponents. Arguably, his biggest win was against a past prime Golovkin, who also gave him two of the toughest fights of his career.
