I don`t care who would win, I just say none of them is the best middleweight in the history. Hagler and Monzon are the best middleweights ever.Comment

Taylor was on top of his game, and after that fight he was regarded as the top middleweight

There is no way that Hopkins would steamroll Golovkin. I think it would be a very competitive fight. The problem Hopkins has is his most high profile wins at Middleweight were against smaller fighters moving up. Trinidad, De la Hoya and Simon Brown If you look at his record there were plenty of mediocre fighters in his Middleweight resume. Having said that his strengths were his ring IQ, size, reach conditioning and durability. I think it would be a great fight that either man could win.Comment

Indeed Golovkin did have patchy moments. But Hopkins ,while favoured, didn't look invincible at 160 himself.Taylor beat Bernard because of hes speed, but Bhop didn't have the power to test Taylor's chin. When puncher did test it, it failed him.Hopkins would fight cautiously ,and win a bore on points.Golovkin doesn't show much urgency ,hes one paced.the Taylor who beat Hopkins was outstanding
and Golovkin had patchy moments like with Ouma, Jacobs, Canelo, Derevyanchenko
Hopkins would defuse Golovkin and frustrate him
and Golovkin is much more basic than Hopkins, he does not have the IQ or the toolbox that Hopkins used to undress PavlikComment

Very true, alot of this isn't about boxing is it? I forget how much its personal on here lolBro don't waste your time trying to get all particular about it, mentioning that BHop struggled at times with guys much worse than GGG etc. Support/opposition for fighters is usually along tribal lines - with GGG it is like on steroids. People who don't like him just see red and don't want to be logical about him.Comment

There was nothing wrong with what I wrote there. The Toney that had all those results was a great fighter, but he doesn't take guys Golovkins level apart like he did Barkley.Barkley had no defence at all,and got beated by ancient Duran. Nothing I wrote was tribal.Toney would be favoured to beat Golovkin, but he didn't steamroll all the best middleweights of hes era,he went close with some, some who were poor, some who were past prime. Some who arent considered ATG.Because you quoted this post
I just didn't highlight it. Then you went on to talk about how "tribal" some fans are. But we know what you mean by "tribal" with you agenda. After all. You're the same idiot that claimed Golovkin has a better resume than Pernell Whitaker. That's how ****** you are.Comment

Yes, I think Canelo would beat Hopkins with his judges. If anyone think canelo could beat hopkins then ggg could for beat em once n the 2nd fight was very close. Being such ppl because he was avoided how good ggg tech was in prime its a reason quillon martinez n cotto aint fight em the 2/3 test he had he past em though by controversial decisions. Based upon what happened ggg vs jacobs im going ggg by decision over bhop. The best match for ggg in primes would be vs hagler 2 durable similar size middleweights that love coming foward with tnt for hands it would be ggg.vs canelo back and forth worthy
In this prime Golovkin had a fine jab. He was an aggressive puncher who could target the head or body equally well. Hopkins was a big and tall middle weight, but he wasn't a high volume punch type of guy and preferred to counter.
I like GGG on pointsComment
