In-house fights are supposed to be easy to make.
So what is the excuse here?

Where is MIke Coppinger when we need him?

Yeah I never understood why he never fought any notable PBC names except Wilder

Even his fight with Jennings showed he could look good against decent fighters. Wlad struggled to look good v Jennings. Joyce too much later, but Ortiz flattened Jennings

I don’t think Ortiz was ever going to be a truly top guy in the division, but there was a missed opportunity to get him some good fights and probably some solid enough wins.

Maybe these PBC heavyweights, which included Ortiz, wanted no less than $1 million for the fight. Who knows? This is PBC mystery house we are dealing with. Not a single reporter can have access to it. You can't even count on Coppinger when it comes to things that would make PBC look bad.

Just imagine if Ortiz is with TR, GBP, DAZN, etc. Any little news about him will all be splashed over the internet and social media.

i think for haymon wilder was his only real HW with star potential....and there arent many stars or potential ones in the whole division.....they realized making a fight with AJ was difficult for them.....and that left fury....al prob needed to keep some guys as viable opponents in the event that they needed opponents....it sort of makes sense...if he has all his heavies beating each other up than its sort of tough if and when wilder needs a viable fight that will keep people somewhat interested.....i think they were trying to build kownacki as one of those guys

Pulev is much better than Ortiz. he has bigger amateur career and better pro wins.

Ortiz was under Match room and they did nothing with him. What kind of ****tars narrative are you trying to sell here????

Ortiz should have taken some instructions from Chisora, how to get more big fights for a good money.

Knocking out bums, pretending you are a KO monster, is not a smart idea. Even less, if you look bad against Scott, lol.

Why are you mad? Are you uncle Al's nephew? What is so bad about my post that made you this angry?

Why don't you just answer what the TS posted in this thread? Why is Ortiz fighting cans when there's about six notable PBC fighters he can fight, instead?

Imagine Martin fights Ortiz and knocks him out. What would Wilder`s record look like?

Ortiz is smoke and mirrors, they needed him as some hyped monster to make Wilder`s record look better.

Ortiz will never go anywhere near Breazeale, Martin, Ruiz, because all these guys can knock him out.
