They both have 4-5 weeks to train. They are both champions and should eat,sleep,box. This is what separates the pretenders vs HOF boxers. Saunders would need 2-3 months just to cut weight because he let’s himself go and doesn’t stay in the gym. This is why I would never pick him to beat any top level guys

Canelo has known for months it was going to be against Callum. Remember, Canelo is the one who can get the fights whenever he wants. He knew Callum would take it 4 weeks out. All the while he's had a proper camp and sparring that Callum won't have. Plus Callum has to travel and get rid of the jet lag and make weight.

Canelo knows what he's doing here because he does this every time. We still don't know if he's put his usual weight restrictions in the contract to make Callum even weaker.

You need the time to get the correct sparring and make the travel arrangements. 4 weeks is way too rushed. No one can do that for a fight this big.

There's a massive difference in going through the motions and having a proper camp for a big fight like this. Canelo knew what he was doing and made sure to give him as little time as possible while he was in camp for months for this opponent. They plan this. How would Canelo know the fight would 100% happen? They’ve tried to negotiate this fight 2 different times and failed. He was in the gym as he is year round, as the rest of the fighters should be. It’s literally been talked for months that Canelo was hoping to fight before the year end.

Canelo makes it look like he wants the fight but causes problems so the deal makes no sense. Then he gets them at short notice and says he was going to fight this guy for some time so he should be ready. Uhh, no. Canelo and his camp know what they're doing.
