GTFOH its time for crawford to fight legitimate proven world level fighters, not prospects or washed up fighters

Ortiz is not a prospect, he’s a full-on contender now. It would be a ballsy move for Ortiz to make, but this kid is chasing greatness and that’s how you do it. Win or lose, This is a legacy making fight for Vergil. I have no doubt that this would be an absolute fire fight that would raise both guy’s stock.

I must admit though, I had the same thoughts when Loma-Lopez was announced and was evidently wrong.

Vergil definitely needs a few more fights though IMO, would like to see him face someone like Jessie Vargas.

Hell Yeah!!! Oscar and Arum should make this fight for Cinco De Mayo weekend 2021. No better way to spurn Canelo and Reynoso than taking the Mexican dates away from them. Much rather see Crawford Vs Ortiz Jr. than Canelo against an over the hill fighter like GGG or Kovalev. Why does he become “the new face of the division?” Particularly when there are much more popular abs pub locally accessible fighters already on the world Ashland championship scale such as Spence, Garcia, Pacquiao, Thurman, Porter, etc that the general sports fan and especially the boxing fan are far more familiar with?
